It was suggested i create a fairy playground, I made a swing already, so I added a slide and a teeter totter.

I got a good deal on some wood slices from Temu. Amazon might have them too. OR, if you have a saw....😁 I love your playground. So inspiring!! <3 My craft room is a few days away from starting our first challenge. Your drawings in the background make me realize that I need to start to draw a design for my outside sculpture and the mailbox. THAT is something I have NEVER done. I do a pretty good stick man but... we will see. lol
New builds
I was stuck on a build, so I made two new ones instead. 😬

@Marcia Cronk- Teha Thanks for the details. Looking more closely I see it resting on your hand. So cute! I know birds love lichen for nesting. Your work is gorgeous!
Collecting
The biggest part of my creative process is actually the collecting. I live on a small island in a rural community, so I don’t have fast access to big craft stores or specialty supplies. Instead, I spend a lot of time wandering beaches, trails, and roadsides, staring at the ground and scanning for anything that catches my eye. I buy very little when it comes to my builds. I genuinely enjoy the challenge of recreating things from found objects and scraps. A piece of driftwood might become a roof, a shell might become a sink, and a seed pod might inspire an entirely new room. For me, it’s a different form of play. The collecting, imagining, and problem-solving are just as rewarding as the building itself. It’s also one of my favourite ways to quiet my mind and connect with nature. How do you find your materials? What’s your favourite way to build?

@Marcia Cronk- Teha I am doing the same!! Switching our my opaque containers for clear ones. My shelves are so high I need to know before I climb! lol
Jewelry box but fairyified 🦋
I’ve been working on this one for a while, but always in intense sessions. It’s a gift for my daughter’s upcoming 13th birthday, so I had to work on it while she was at school. Today was her last day for the summer, so I spent literally 5 hours finishing it all! 🫠 My friend encouraged me to add hidden compartments, and while I had no clue how to do it, I think it turned out well. Almost everything in here has been gathered by me over the years, or made for this project. I tried a few new things, like the potion bottles from beads, and the cauldron from acorn tops. The gobliny looking rocks are agate or agate surrounding stuff (?) from Monty Lake. I imbedded glow in the dark stones into some of the little pockets, and the dots on the mushrooms also glow in the dark. I can’t wait for her to see it!!!

@Carissa England I certainly will!! As soon as I get my craft room in hand, I am jumping into my outside projects and then when our weather shifts into colder days, I will focus on stuff that keeps me cozy! 😁

@Janet Merz Right!!! And those wonderful mushrooms!! My hubby thinks so too. Slowly but surely my space and my goodies are becoming usable I'm hoping that in the next couple weeks I'll be able to dive in deep.

@Agnes Ryckman that was a birthday present from my husband. He brought the box and mounted it for me so I can have a creative space underneath.
