FOCUS
The hardest part of building a real business is not what you say “yes” to. It’s what you have to say “no” to. If you’re like me, “shiny objects” are real. New machines. New ideas. New services. New side business. The toughest part? You could probably do most of it pretty well. But that’s what makes it dangerous. Discipline for guys like us isn't about “waking up early” or “working hard” — that's in our DNA Discipline is this: Being able to look at all the fun, new ideas and say, “No. I’m going to fix the one hard problem in my business first.” In your business, the thing you NEED to do almost always feels harder than the thing you WANT to do. Why? Because you don’t know how to do it yet. Or maybe you kind of know what to do… but you know it will take longer than you want. So instead of addressing the "hard thing" head on, most operators: Buy a new machine or attachment Research "better" machine upgrades or HP options Start a new service (like excavation) Switch to a new service area Tinker with new software to “optimize” the backend But the truth is, we just need to be honest and ask: 1. What is actually holding my business back right now? 2. Am I spending my time fixing THAT thing? If cash is your bottleneck, you fix your prices until you make real profit If leads are your bottleneck, you learn how to market better until more leads come in If closing is your bottleneck, you call/text leads faster until you start winning more jobs Not “another project.” Not “build a house on the side.” Not “add a second business.” Not “research the latest high-flow technology” The question is not, “What else could I do?” The better questions are: “What's the bottleneck in my business right now?” “What am I not doing because I don't know how?” Step 1: Tell the truth about the single most important problem in your business that is: - taking way too long to fix, or - you really don’t know how to fix Step 2: Bite down on that problem like a log in the grapple and don’t let go until it’s in the pile.

4 Ways To Advertise
Most of us are in “slow season” right now (or just coming out) Machines have been parked. Phone’s quiet. A lot of guys use that as an excuse to do nothing for those of you who want to do something about it, check this out! there are only 4 Ways To Advertise Literally. Every lead you will ever get comes from one of these four buckets. there are 2 types of people: • People who already know you (warm) • Total strangers (cold) Two ways to talk to them: • 1:1 (private) • 1:many (public) That gives you the “core four”: Let's start with the 2 ways to reach your WARM audience 1:1 (Private) aka WARM OUTREACH: Text / call every past customer, GC, realtor, excavator, and buddy who’s sent you work in the past: Script is simple: “Hey __, it’s __. I’ve got a couple March/April openings for mulching / clearing. Any projects you want me to look at or quote ahead of time?” Goal: 20–50 real conversations this week, not 2 half‑hearted texts.\\ 1 to Many (Warm) aka POSTING CONTENT: You’ve already got followers, friends, and people creeping on your profile. Show them you’re alive. • Post before/after pics of your best jobs • Write 3–5 “what to expect with forestry mulching” posts • Do a simple selfie video walking a job and explaining what you’d change Hit Facebook profile, Google Business page, local groups, email list. Goal? 1 useful post each day (don't overthink it - you don't need an editor) Now, let's cover the COLD audience 1:1 (COLD) – aka COLD OUTREACH Builders, developers, realtors, property managers, HOA boards. Most of them don’t have “their mulching guy” yet. Make a hit list of 50–100 and reach out: “Got a mulcher & crew. We handle ___ area. If you ever need overgrown lots / fence lines cleaned up, happy to be your first quote.”Your slow season is when they actually have time to talk vendors. hit the builders and GCs for land clearing jobs hit the real estate agents for the forestry mulching and property improvement jobs 1 to many (COLD) – PAID ADS

START HERE: Stay Booked Out For Weeks With Profitable Jobs
Welcome to OWNR OPS 🤝 If you own a land clearing or forestry business and you want to stay booked out weeks in advance with profitable jobs using simple systems, not shiny objects, you’re in the right place. This group and trainings are built around my simple operating system - Revamp your pricing so you generate profit on every job - Make the phone ring consistently with a simple 3‑Step Lead Engine - Track a simple weekly scorecard so you know if you’re winning or losing and exactly what to fix next I use this same playbook in my own $1.4M land clearing / forestry business and it’s what guys like Colby used to go from roughly $400k to $850k while staying 4–8 weeks booked out. Step 1 – Introduce yourself (do this now) Comment below with: - Your name - Where you’re based - What kind of work you do now (land clearing, forestry, fire mitigation, etc.) - How many weeks you’re currently booked out - Use the photo template I posted Step 2 – Unlock the Free Kickstarter Training Go to the Classroom tab and follow the steps to unlock the “Free Kickstarter Training" Video series module In it, you’ll learn how you can copy the simple operating system behind my 7 figure business: - Revamp your pricing so every crew‑day makes profit - Build a 3‑Step Lead Engine (how to make the phone ring) - Use a weekly scorecard to see if you’re winning or losing and what to fix next week Watch these lessons this week so the livestreams & posts inside here actually click. Step 3 – Book Your OPS Onboarding Call If you want my eyes on your numbers and a clear plan to stay booked out weeks in advance with profitable jobs, book an OPS Onboarding call here: 👉 [Book Onboarding Call] On that call we’ll: - Look at your current revenue, backlog, and weeks booked out - Find the biggest bottleneck in your business - See if you’re a fit for OPS Training, my weekly training program for land clearing and forestry owners

How do you with Facebook leads ? Do you go through Facebook or an app ?
Competition survey.
On one of the other Ownr Ops pages I was reading they recommend seeing how many other companies offer forestry mulching / fire mitigation, as a service, with 50 miles of your location. How many of you did this and what did you find? I'm trying to figure out if my area is oversaturated. Thanks in advance.
