Monday Check-In
A lot of master athletes start Monday thinking about what they need to do. I've found that sometimes the bigger question is: What did last week teach you? Maybe you learned you need more recovery. Maybe you learned you're stronger than you thought. Maybe you learned you're doing too much. Maybe you learned you're not doing enough. What's one piece of information you're taking from last week into this week?

The hardcore early morning routine starts the night / evening before 🫡 Made sure I got plenty of seed oils to fuel my training this morning 😆 Solid sleep & disciplined evening made today's session productive 🙂
What's Something You Know You Should Do More Of?
Not the perfect answer. The honest answer. For me, it's probably mobility work. I always feel better when I do it. I rarely feel like doing it. What's yours?

Green Doesn't Always Mean Go Harder
Woke up with a green recovery score this morning. A few years ago, I would've seen that and immediately thought, "Let's push." Now I look at it differently. Sometimes green means push. Sometimes it means build. Sometimes it means get good work in without turning a good day into a recovery problem. What's a time when your body told you something different than what your recovery score said? 👇

Body & recovery score don't always tell the same story. I might have 1 or 2 days where I'll train on low sleep / recovery, but generally, I try to prioritize sleep. Tomorrow might be one of those 1-2 days, depending how tonight goes. Early morning tomorrow is non-negotiable.

What's Your Focus Right Now?
A year ago my answer would've been different than it is today. What's the main thing you're working on right now?

BJJ - focus is being offensive from the bottom. Strength - staying relaxed under load. Conditioning - nasal breathing. Nutrition - minimal weight cut + maintain energy.

@Brian Rafat exactly. My strength & conditioning practice seeks to mimic this, using nasal breathing as the limiter / regulator.
