Launched my first website!
I just started using VS Code over the weekend and not only built out a landing page but also built out a custom CRM for my agency. We're beta testing it this week. Super excited to share the results! I've already learned so much from Nate, truly an amazing teacher!
7-day AIS challenge - Day 5: Website Building
Super proud of this one. Before using claude code the only thing I was comfortable with for building my website was wordpress. The difference right now is night and day. (See screenshot from before and visit my website now caikmo.be) Thanks @Nate Herk for putting out so much educational content! It took quite a lot of back and forth converstion, but it's peanuts in comparison to the time I spend on wordpress. I did some github research for this one, for extra skills that would help me build the site. It is now fully SEO optimized. It has a great score on mobile and desktop on Pagespeed Insights (to check website performance) and has a working google tag and linkedin insights tag. Quick tip: If u build a site don't forget to check and install this.

I built a funnel for my web application for my financial services brokerage. This is just the landing page, the screenshots shown are live from the backend https://fieldforceos.com/welcome
Need some Advice.
I'd love some honest career advice from people who've been through this. Over the past few months, I've realized that I genuinely enjoy software engineering much more than AI. I originally leaned heavily into AI because it seemed like the direction everyone was moving toward. But trying to keep up with the constant pace of new models, tools, and frameworks started to feel exhausting. Instead of being excited, I often felt like I was always behind. When I sit down and write code, though, it's completely different. I genuinely enjoy building things, solving problems, and improving my programming skills. It doesn't feel forced, it feels natural. So now I'm considering making software engineering my primary focus instead of trying to build an identity around AI. For those who have experience in the industry: - Is it a mistake to pivot away from AI right now? - Would you reposition your LinkedIn and personal brand around software engineering? - Can someone still have a great career focusing primarily on software engineering while using AI as just another tool? I'd really appreciate your perspectives because I'm trying to build a career around what I actually enjoy rather than what's currently trending.

As someone who had a previous career in engineering, I can totally understand where you're coming from. I enjoy solving problems and finding ways to create solutions for people, which I ended up transitioning into a full career in financial services. However, I still love creating and building. The big thing to consider is putting your frame of mind in a position to look for things that you enjoy about each tool that you use, but not making it about the tool and more about the process, much like these other guys have said.
🚀New Video: Fable 5 + Karpathy’s LLM Wiki is Basically Cheating
I ingested all my YouTube videos into an LLM wiki and turned them into a connected second brain that my AI OS can actually reason over. In this one I show you how to build the same thing in about five minutes using Claude Code and Obsidian, based on Andrej Karpathy's LLM knowledge base idea. You drop in sources, the AI reads them, splits them into cross-linked wiki pages, and keeps the whole thing organized with routing rules so it can find anything fast. By the end you'll know how to set up the vault, write the schema, ingest a PDF and a URL, and decide when to keep your wiki flat versus structured.

My second brain in Obsidian certainly doesn't look like this yet but it's growing! Great stuff!

Hey everyone, my name is Josh, and I am very excited to be here in the community. I run a financial services agency and have started using Claude Code to build tools and resources for our team as well as for products that we can sell to the rest of the industry. I learned so much from Nate already. Can't wait to be a part of the community!
