How to grade/Where to grade
What’s up guys! I am probably looking too deep into this and everyone has different opinions on this. But I really want to be more accurate on my grade submissions. So I have some questions I’d like to put out there. 1) How do You determine what should be graded 2) How do You determine a 10 contender 3) How do You determine what grading company to use for your submissions

Study 10s! Look ups PSA 10s and practice looking at what looks like a 10. Begin following people who grade and learn to see what they see. Develop your eye and be willing to commit some time and money to the process (grading fees, equipment) and be willing to do a handful of submissions until you begin expecting a certain outcome. I have probably graded around 700-800 cards over now and am beginning to see a consistent gem rate of 75%-80%. My favorite analogy of grading cards is like playing poker. There’s a lot of skill involved as well as an element of chance/luck with your grader, turnaround times and market conditions, etc. Don’t lose heart and you got this!

Ascended Heroes Singles Inflated?!
I’m sure everyone is looking at single prices from ascended heroes….but man this is crazy! My wife is ripping some poster and pin collections she gets at msrp. She got a Psyduck IR last night and I just looked at the price and was shocked it is $85 market. This is ridiculous!! I’m sure prices will settle down after the bundles release but man…is this set going to settle a bit more or just keep going up? What’s everyone’s thoughts on Ascended right now?

It’s insane! I feel like this set is so strong and enjoyable. Less traumatic than Prismatic and has some many fan favorite Pokemon that even after the bundles drop I think it’ll still outperform many sets for most modern collectors. I think it’ll drop a tad, but will plateau with the Gengar and forest pika around $1k-1.2k ish, as well as the Dragonite sir and others to follow suit going down a tad. But the demand will definitely still be there!

Would you do this Trade? MODERN VS SLIGHTLY OLDER
Assuming market value is about equal… I’m seriously considering making this trade. I’ve been offered a mix of things and cash for one of my Destined Rivals booster box cases—and this is the most tempted I’ve been so far. I still have another case, which is really the only reason I’m even open to moving one and diversifying into other products. Part of me likes the idea of shifting into things like Evolving Skies, which feels more liquid and already proven, and Scarlet & Violet—151, which I personally love and has strong nostalgic demand. On the flip side, Destined Rivals just doesn’t seem to slow down. It still feels like demand is outpacing supply. So I’m torn—hold the case as a concentrated bet, or rotate into more established + diversified pieces. Curious what you guys would do in this spot.

I think diversifying is really helpful strategic, especially when it includes Evolving Skies and 151. I think this is a fair trade and has a lot of upside for you. Congrats on the opportunity!
