Letter of the Week: L for Leads!
We took a brief detour last week, so this week we're picking up right where we left off with Letter L! Ready for a double-letter week? 😎 When people hear the word LEADS, they often think about sales. But Dr. Forbes Riley reminds us that a lead is much more than a name on a list: "A lead isn't just a contact, it's a conversation waiting to become a connection." Lead generation isn't about chasing people. It's about communicating your ideas with clarity and conviction so people connect with you, trust you, and want to learn more. Every conversation, social media comment, networking event, or introduction has the potential to become a meaningful relationship. 👇 Discussion Question: What's one relationship that started as a simple conversation and turned into an opportunity, client, referral, or friendship?

@Louise Shickle ❤️😊 Thank you, Louise! I love that... "Love your leads!" 🙌✨ It made me think that the best leads aren't just names on a list—they're people with stories, dreams, and challenges. When we lead with genuine curiosity and care, conversations naturally become relationships. 🤝💖 Now you've made me curious... 😊 In your experience, what's been the biggest difference between simply finding a lead and building a lasting relationship? I'd genuinely love to hear your perspective. 🌱✨

@Louise Shickle ❤️ I absolutely love that, Louise! 🙌✨ What a wonderful reminder that sometimes the greatest value isn't the lead itself—it's the relationship that grows from it. 🤝💖 I think that's one of the biggest lessons I'm taking away from Dr. Forbes Riley's teachings: when we approach people with genuine curiosity instead of just looking for a sale, amazing things can happen. Sometimes we gain a client... and sometimes we gain a lifelong friend. 🌱❤️ Now you've made me curious... 😊 Do you remember what it was about those conversations that transformed them from business leads into lasting friendships? I'd genuinely love to hear that story. 🙏✨

Kelly Wheadon ❤️ Thank you so much for sharing that, Kelly. 🙏 Your words really touched my heart. I'm so sorry for the loss of your sister. 💖 At the same time, it's beautiful to see how, even through that pain, your relationships with your parents and your wife became a source of strength and healing. That says a lot about the people in your life. 🤝❤️ As for me... one of the most meaningful relationships has been with my dad. We recently had a conversation that changed the way I understood parts of his life and our family's story. It reminded me that sometimes the greatest gift we can give someone isn't advice—it's creating a safe space where they feel comfortable enough to share what's been on their heart. 💬✨ That conversation gave me a deeper appreciation for the power of listening and asking thoughtful questions. It's one of the reasons I'm so passionate about becoming a better communicator. ❤️ Thank you again for sharing your story. Conversations like this remind me that some of life's greatest lessons come through the people we're blessed to walk alongside. 🙏🌱

@Katrina Parker ❤️ Katrina, I love the flow of your words! 🙌✨ Love, Live, Laugh, Learn, Listen... it almost feels like a roadmap for living a meaningful life. 🌱💖 The one that stood out to me the most was "Listen." 👂 I've been learning that some of the most meaningful conversations don't happen because we have the perfect words—they happen because someone feels truly heard. Now you've made me curious... 😊 If you had to choose just one of those five words to guide this season of your life, which one would it be—and why? I'd genuinely love to hear your story. 💬❤️🙏

@Waltraud Riesner ❤️ Thank you so much, Waltraud! 🙏 Your words really resonated with me. I love what you said: "Giving back is one way, showing up and being committed another." 💖✨ That's such a powerful reminder that success isn't built by one big moment—it's built by consistently showing up, learning, supporting others, and taking action. 🚀🌱 I'm curious... over your years with Forbes, what has helped you stay so committed and keep showing up, even when the journey wasn't always easy? I'd genuinely love to learn from your experience. 😊🤝
🌍 Tuesday Night Conversation ☕❤️
What if one simple Facebook comment could change two lives? Not because of business. Not because of money. Not because anyone was trying to sell anything. Just because two people were willing to say... "Tell me your story." ❤️ This past Tuesday night, a comment inside Dr. Forbes Riley's community turned into a conversation I'll never forget. 🌾 I grew up Amish in Ohio. 🌍 Andrew grew up in Zimbabwe and now lives in South Africa. Thousands of miles apart... Different cultures... Different life experiences... Yet for nearly two hours, none of that mattered. We talked about faith. 💬 We talked about fear. 💪 We talked about failure. 🌱 We talked about purpose. 🤝 We talked about serving others. ❤️ We talked about becoming the people God created us to be. One thing that humbled me was this... 🕒 Andrew stayed awake until 2:00 AM his local time simply because he believed the conversation was worth having. That meant more to me than I can put into words. Some conversations give you information. Others give you perspective. And every once in a while... A conversation reminds you that the world isn't nearly as big as we sometimes think it is. 💡 Dr. Forbes Riley often teaches that opportunities begin with conversations. This week, I experienced that lesson firsthand. What started as one Facebook comment became a genuine friendship. Andrew is one of those people who listens deeply, asks thoughtful questions, and inspires you to think differently about your own life. I'm grateful our paths crossed. 🙏 Thank you, Andrew, for your openness, your honesty, and for investing your time in someone you had never met before. I hope this is only the beginning of many more conversations. ☕ We'd both love to leave you with an invitation. If you're carrying a dream... If you're rebuilding after a setback... If you're searching for clarity... Or if you simply want to have a meaningful conversation with another human being... 📩 Reach out. You don't need a perfect reason. Sometimes the best conversations begin with a simple...

@Waltraud Riesner ❤️ Greetings from Connecticut, USA! 🇺🇸😊 It's wonderful to connect with someone from Austria. @Waltraud Riesner ❤️ Wow... thank you for sharing that beautiful story. 🙏 I smiled when I read, "I stopped cooking to watch." 😊 It sounds like one of those rare moments when something deep inside you simply knows, "This is where I'm supposed to be." 💥✨ I also love your words, "When the student is ready, the teacher appears." They carry so much wisdom. Looking back over the past few years with Forbes, what has been the biggest transformation you've experienced—not just in your business, but in yourself? 🌱💖 I'd genuinely love to hear your journey.
