Hello fellow software junkies! I'm about 16 years into a software development and consulting rollercoaster. Mostly Microsoft technologies, .NET, SQL Server (I got an MCSE in data warehousing back in 2019), Angular, and recently all things blazor server (plus a lot of stuff I'm trying to purge from my memory - looking at you SharePoint). My career has mostly been all soup to nuts for projects, talk with end users, business stake holders, execs, hear needs make them feel understood. Then design a full architecture and build it, sometimes multiple teams concurrently, sometimes just me and a text editor. I've been everywhere kind of like that Johnny Cash song. I'm currently 1 of a 2 man consulting company that has a long term arrangement with a much larger organization I can't talk about, but I'm also looking to expand that consulting business in a sustainable way with similar long term engagements. I came across skool because my wife is working on building a meal planning service "Family Meals in Minutes" and I joined to support then started poking around and found some communities like this that are in my interests (I guess that's how this issue supposed to work?). So I figured I'd join and see if there's anything useful I can add or learn.
