The Truth About Moving to Thailand: Depression, Racism and Unexpected Loss
Ever wondered what it's like to start anew in a foreign land? To face challenges you never saw coming? Well, one of our very own members, @Jonathan Williams, sat down with me recently to share his incredible journey from the U.S. to Thailand. It's a raw, real story of loss, resilience, and unexpected life changes.

I want to thank everyone for the very kind and supportive comments. I think Brett did a brilliant job all around, with this interview and video. He made it easy to open and speak. He is a great interviewer and editor. I was very impressed with the finished product... As far as myself, I truly appreciate the inspiring feedback we've recieved here. Thank you.

Sure. A meetup is something someone like. Me needs.
I've arrived in Chiang Mai, first impressions.
I arrived in Chiang Mai on the 23rd of February 2023. So far it seems to be everything I imagined. It feels amazing to me. It simply feels good here. People are nice, and the city seems vibrant. It's going to take some time to acclimate and make friends, but I hope it doesn't take too long because as much as I can enjoy my own company, I'd rather have friends here to socialize with. We will see how that goes. If there's any advice, suggestions or pointers that anyone can offer, it would be appreciated. FYI, I'm a part of this group and share some of my experiences here because I've been inspired by Brett's videos for a long time now and this is my way of letting him see his influence at work. I'm here and happy to be here.

Building a business that earns 10K a month
As we navigate our way through the world of entrepreneurship, it can be easy to get caught up in the idea that success means making millions of dollars. However, it's essential to remember that success is relative, and there is nothing wrong with earning a modest income while living a fulfilling life. Many of us are drawn to the nomadic lifestyle because of the freedom it offers, and for some, that freedom comes from earning a comfortable income while living in a place like Thailand. It's essential to remember that this is entirely achievable and that there's nothing wrong with aiming for a monthly income of 10K. The key to reaching this goal is to focus on building a business that can sensibly earn that amount. You don't need to have a groundbreaking idea or a massive customer base to achieve this; instead, it's about finding a niche, solving a problem, and providing value to your customers. By doing this, you can create a sustainable income that allows you to live the life you want. It's also crucial to remember that building a successful business takes time, effort, and patience. Many entrepreneurs get caught up in the idea of running before they can walk and try to scale their business too quickly. This often leads to burnout, exhaustion, and even failure. Instead, focus on building a strong foundation for your business and take things one step at a time. Celebrate small wins and learn from failures, and you'll be well on your way to achieving your goals. The brainwashing that you must make millions is what often causes entrepreneurs to fail. It creates unrealistic expectations and puts unnecessary pressure on them to succeed. Business goes through seasons, and there will be times when things are slow, and other times when they're thriving. By aiming for a reasonable income and building a sustainable business, you can weather these seasons and come out stronger on the other side. In conclusion, there's nothing wrong with earning 10K a month and living in Thailand. It's about finding a business that can sensibly earn that amount and taking things one step at a time. Remember, success is relative, and it's essential to focus on building a sustainable business that allows you to live the life you want.

Sitting here in BKK
In a lounge waiting for my flight to Chiang Mai, and there’s an overpass nearby where multiple bikes and scooters have pulled through some hedges underneath (where there is no path), made a wrong way turn, and motored right along. Ain’t nobody telling me this isn’t paradise.

Man... let me tell you! I have been here 10 days and have filled my FB with videos of me being riden on the back of a scooter and a tuktuk... You know those yellow and white lines painted on the streets? The arrows and traffic lights?.... They dont mean nothing to these people. They just go where they can fit past. Its amazing there arent many collisions... I love it!
