The 3 Mistakes Killing Your Reply Rate ๐Ÿชฆ
What's up ๐Ÿ‘‹ I'm part of Jay's team, and I spend a lot of time looking at why cold email campaigns underperform. So here's something I see constantly: Smart operators, good offers, decent listsโ€ฆ getting crushed reply rates because of mistakes that have nothing to do with sending more. Here are the 3 that show up most: Mistake #1: You're writing to everyone. The second your email could've been sent to 500 people unchanged, it's dead. The inbox can smell a template from a mile away. Mistake #2: You're pitching in email #1. You haven't earned the right to ask for anything yet. The first email has exactly one job, and it's not booking a call. Mistake #3: You're optimizing the wrong number. Everyone obsesses over open rates and send volume. Meanwhile the number that actually predicts revenue is sitting there ignored, and most people don't even know the line where they should start worrying. Here's the part most people miss: Fixing this isn't about working harder or sending more. It's about knowing where you're leaking. And most people have no idea which one is theirs. So I built a checklist. It's the exact reply-rate teardown I use on campaigns. Fair warning: it goes deeper than these 3. You go line by line, and by the end you know exactly what's bleeding your replies and what to do about it. If you want itโ€ฆ Comment "Audit" below ๐Ÿ‘‡ I'll get it straight to you.

@Sonia Hudson Welcome In!
How to identify the MOST defensible pain point!
The quality of your outreach is decided before you write a single line. If the problem isnโ€™t clear, personal, and urgentโ€ฆ the message wonโ€™t resonate. The best outreach is built on a pain the prospect is **already admitting internally.** Hereโ€™s how to find it ๐Ÿ‘‡ 1) Look for money leaks Where is revenue quietly slipping away? - Missed calls - Unconverted leads - Low LTV - High churn If you can tie your angle directly to lost money, you already have a strong hook. Money pain = attention. 2) Look for operational bottlenecks What breaks when they try to grow? - Hiring bottlenecks - Lead follow-up delays - Sales capacity limits - Fulfillment issues If growth is blocked, leadership feels it every single day. 3) Check urgency Ask yourself: > If they ignore this for 90 daysโ€ฆ what happens? If the answer is โ€œnot muchโ€ โ†’ weak angle If the answer is โ€œwe lose revenue or slow growthโ€ โ†’ strong angle Urgency makes people reply. 4) Steal their language Donโ€™t invent wording. Go where theyโ€™re already talking: - Reviews - Reddit threads - Interviews - Job descriptions - LinkedIn posts Use their exact phrasing in your email. Thatโ€™s what makes it feel specific and real. The strongest pain points always have 3 things: โœ” Clear financial consequence โœ” Clear urgency โœ” Clear ownership (someone is responsible for fixing it) If you canโ€™t tie your angle to lost money or stalled growth, itโ€™s probably weak. Clarity of problem โ†’ clarity of message โ†’ higher replies. Most people skip the first step.
