The KEY ingredient to deep healing and transformation?
When I was studying Contemplative Psychology, I wrote many, many papers. Hundreds probably. But one of them, I remember to this day. I studied a lot of different therapeutic modalities...psychoanalysis, Jungian dream analysis, Gestalt Therapy, Somatic Experiencing, Person-Centered Therapy, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Family Systems, and more. I was curious about what made therapy effective or not. This paper that I remember delved into this topic...what is the most effective kind of therapy for healing and transformation? I learned that any therapy can be quite effective for healing and transformation, as long as the therapist provides this one ingredient. What is this ingredient, you might be wondering? It's called Unconditional Positive Regard. It means the therapist holds a space full of empathy, compassion, and a loving regard towards their client, no matter what stories they hear, or what kind of guilt and shame the client might be holding. The beauty of Unconditional Positive Regard is that we are able to give it to ourselves as well! We don't need to wait for a therapist or friend or family member to hold that space for us, although it's wonderful to have a person like that in our lives. We can also give ourselves Unconditional Positive Regard. Like most other things, the more we practice Unconditional Positive Regard, the better we get at it! I've seen a few people move through this group and within weeks start a journey of transformation and joyful release of stubborn weight with the slightest nudge...a one-on-one meeting, attending a few group support meetings, doing Hypno Health, reading my book. There are two things these folks had in common, as I reflect on this dynamic... 1.) A readiness for change and transformation, a feeling of commitment for doing whatever it takes to create change, as long as it felt right and good to them. 2.) A strong, internal sense of self-love and compassion for what they've been through and where they wanted to go, in other words... Unconditional Positive Regard for themselves!

@Alex McMillan Something that helped me stop beating myself up was the concept that "Life happens for you, not to you". Everything is for our growth, even our own mistakes. Reframing them as "Wow, I learned something valuable today" has helped me drop the shame, guilt, and general grumpiness.

@Vasi Smith i was extra hungry this morning so took the time to make a hot breakfast vs the usual protein shake. Have a workout for this evening.
Does chewing give you comfort? - a hack to try!
For some of us (hand raised high), the act of chewing is deeply comforting. It may even be part of the reason that food itself is so enticing and addictive for us. If you find yourself wanting to chew on something even though you know you’re not hungry, or if you want to extend your fasting window… oil pulling is something you can try. I used oil pulling today to stretch my fasting window by an hour. How to do it- Take a tablespoon of coconut oil or olive oil and swish it around in your mouth for ten minutes or more. You spit out the oil after the 10/15 mins and rinse out your mouth with water. That’s it! It uses the same muscles as chewing and as a bonus…it’s detoxifying for the mouth and your whole body. It can be really helpful if you have tooth pain as well, or if you’re starting to get sick. Here’s an article that goes more in depth about oil pulling, https://drjockers.com/benefits-oil-pulling/

Yes! I was addicted to gum for 10+ years. I still use a bag of popcorn to stay awake on long drives at night.
What supplements do you love to love?
And what do they do for you? Are there any you love to hate? None of this is medical advice, just conversation :) Here are a few of my go to-s, not daily, but as needed…. Black Cohosh to support my estrogen levels in perimenopause Vitamin D and Natural Vitamin C, from Amla and plants, for immunity and general health Magnesium and triphala, probiotics, and occasional Wormwood for digestive system support and Smooth Moving BMs Blood Builder Iron supplement since I tend towards anemia Gymnema and Berberine for blood sugar balance support St John’s Wort, Ashwagandha, and healthy mushrooms for mental health support I don’t hate any supplements but I did try L-Theanine once, it’s supposed to help with stress relief, and it made me super anxious!

Magnesium (citrate and glyconate) for muscle function. Magnesium deficiency is really common and these really helped me.
Have a YouTube Channel?
Drop it below so we can follow and support each other on YouTube! My YouTube channel is @VasiToneva Sharing one of the first videos I ever did below, many months ago, which talks about getting smart with your insulin hormone and overcoming Insulin Resistance. Fun fact: Health Influencer Ben Azadi did a video just a month ago that goes over almost the SAME exact ideas about insulin that my homemade, basic video talked about!! Except sprinting…he talked about sprinting as another tool to support insulin. Ben’s video got over a million views, and thousands of likes! Maybe if I can get better at thumbnails and video titles, I can get more than 84 views?!! I’m excited to connect with @Laurits Valentin Offersen later this week…he helps people up level their YouTube game. If you want to do more YouTube videos, you might want to connect with him as well!
