@Chris Skrobarczyk it comes with this sonar sensor that I attach to a second rod. Basically just cast it out and get a read on the depth around me and then trying to adjust accordingly

@Chris Skrobarczyk I believe the regulations where I’m at would consider the light at night a violation. Even having a “second rod” to throw the sensor without a hook might have some people saying that’s wrong. Love the unit for giving a bit more feedback around the conditions. It has froze up 1 time on me and I had to wait for the battery to die over night. Sealed unit with no hard reset.

How close to bottom do you fish?
I was out with my kayak and got skunked. Stocked trout pond. Guys fishing from shore were catching a bunch. I tried spoons, crankbait. Another kayaker said he was using dry flys and caught a couple trout. I want to maybe anchor my kayak and do a bobber. Any advice?

Compact Light Rod
Hey, I sold my car and have been going fishing using Transit. Looking for a compact rod that I can take on a bus. Amazon has a couple of these pen sized compact rods. Has anyone used them before? Been making videos is anyone is interested. https://youtu.be/-cYWNNL-SDk?si=t0Ii-98Ae4LzCcew
