@Ryan Nolan I figured it out I think. Apparently you have to be running in multi-user mode and a docker container defaults to single user. To get it, it looks like I will have to either not use self hosted on a Docker container or set it up to run using. Postgress or SQL database then I can enable multi user. Not something I'm ready to do yet. Running that in the same CM I have will just ad more overhead and I already bump up against resource issues and have to reboot my VM as it is. Later when I'm ready to charge somebody for my service. :)

wow 2 hrs for the Open Weather app API activation? Guess this is a good stopping point and to take a break and let the stuff I have gone through sink in a little. Queue up the Jeopardy theme music...

for what it's worth. I took a screen shoot of the Data Table node in Lesson 8, birthday deal... I asked it how to get Machs just on Day and month. Here is what is gave me (and it works great) add two conditions. 1st on it greater than or equal to and the expression is this {{ new Date(new Date().getFullYear(), new Date().getMonth(), 1).toISOString().slice(0,10) }} Then add a 2nd condition that is less than and add this expression {{ new Date(new Date().getFullYear(), new Date().getMonth() + 1, 1).toISOString().slice(0,10) }} So basically it's saying anything today or after but before tomorrow.

@Ryan Nolan It's really good. I have a c doing/scripting background and have been playing around with n98n for a couple months now, watching different tutorials so I have a grasp on some of the basics. I have lots of blind spots like deploying to a customer, support, security, things like tat. BUT, I think the course is really well done, It is broken up into small, bite size pieces that people can easily digest (IMO). So far what I have watched gives people a really good foundation that they can then go explore, build and discover more possibilities. Being an IT professional I understand 1/2 the battle in finding the info you need, how to do what you need, answers to questions, etc. is knowing how to ask the questions. This looks to me like it helps people to develop those skills. But also gives enough skills to be able to create workflows that actually do something. What I have watched I've picked up some additional knowledge. I'm looking forward to the other modules I have yet to watch further in that I am not clear on.
1st signed n8n client!
It pleases me to be able to announce that I have officially signed my first n8n client as of last Friday! The project is a workflow that will read ticket PDFs from my client's outlook account, extract information from the attachments, organize them by Order number, add a human in the loop to confirm it has been correctly generated, and then automatically create a QuickBooks invoice to my client's account. For this I am charging a project fee as well as a monthly retainer fee, one step closer to financial independence! I got this customer by using my networks and LinkedIn posts to promote my business. I already have 2 other potential customers interested in getting some automations done for them! Couldn't have done it without the advice and guidance of @Ryan Nolan, thank you for pushing me to get started! I will be posting the image of the final workflow! Should be a great one to upload to my Upwork account!

Very cool. Can you share how you came across this client? Was it random? Was it a solution that found a problem for? A person that found you with a problem and asked you to solve? Just curious how it all played out.
