One fell swoop
One of my pet peeves is when my primary care physician and cardiologist and blood lab are in the same building one floor apart-having to make two trips for blood work. SO. Now I schedule them both in the same day and make certain they share results. Today’s two back to back dr visits required me to go sans tie (one less layer to remove for the EKG) yet I still stand by my belief that there is better standard of care when one presents oneself as one professional to another. Consequently on this hot day I grabbed my New England Shirt Co madras and Nantucket reds threw on my 1997 MTM Royal blue blazer w a Ben Silver pocket square, Pendleton socks, Martin Dingman shoes and belt and my old Wenger field watch.

You are not wrong about how one is treated. Great look!
Today's OOTD
. Today chose a Merino wool lighter weight Italian blazer, seven fold rep tie, a lighter cream trouser and greyish loafers. Accesories are my Swedish heritage lapel pin with the Swedish flag and a slightly showing pocket square that bring all these colors together

Outstanding!
Sunday 9/13
Fall has long been my favorite time of year and, for as long as I've paid attention to classic menswear, my favorite season to dress for with its numerous textures, earth tones, and layering versatility. This Sunday, the Almighty in His faithful providence has blessed us with temperatures in the 60s and lower 70s, and the seasonal changes are greatly welcomed. I. Casual afternoon walk Cotton dress shirt in light blue, tan wrangler cords, $7 thrifted oxfords, medium grey bowler II. Afternoon church service HF blue blazer, light blue dress shirt, pink/grey tie, scarlet/gold/blue pocket square, Grey argyle socks with red dashed line picking up the red in the ps, Allen Edmonds penny loafers, Riviera wool blend trousers in medium grey. III. Accessories Monterey Kitty Hawk pilot watch and gold wedding ring on left hand Stainless steel Cuban link bracelet on right wrist Full grain leather belt Monarch red tobacco vanilla fragrance layered with a bit of Mission Fragrance Courage -- a combination and metaphor of "green" fading into the "warm spicy" of autumn. I think this blazer needs to be tailored in the body/waist.

Looking fantastic! Little break in the heat here in Jersey today, too.
Back to fall church OOTD and dinner
The fall/school year brings back a sense of regularity. So, back to shirt and tie/jacket for Sunday Masses. Trying a seemingly tried-n-true combo of blue blazed with light pants. The mint shirt and tie called to me. Dinner was Peruvian chicken on the pellet grill. THAT’s a keeper, as I can now make my own, not take-away.

@William Prevost thank you, not the best camera angle, but we work with what we have…
Suit Confessions
T-Minus 12 minutes until church starts and just out of the shower… I usually construct my OOTD in less than a minute then put it on and it usually begins with a shirt. One of the great ways to limit the decision bandwidth range is to go with a suit- same hanger -saves time. Same fabric (versus a sport-coat/trouser outfit)= zero thought. To make the time constraint I went with a 1997 MTM cream with charcoal brown fancy stripe suit, over my windowpane CT dress shirt; a deep green and purple Robert Talbot tie with a cream and raspberry stripe. A raspberry with polka dot pocket square; 1993 AE shell cordovan brogues in British tan; Pantherella socks; 1949 Ernest Borel watch.
