Fall has long been my favorite time of year and, for as long as I've paid attention to classic menswear, my favorite season to dress for with its numerous textures, earth tones, and layering versatility. This Sunday, the Almighty in His faithful providence has blessed us with temperatures in the 60s and lower 70s, and the seasonal changes are greatly welcomed. I. Casual afternoon walk Cotton dress shirt in light blue, tan wrangler cords, $7 thrifted oxfords, medium grey bowler II. Afternoon church service HF blue blazer, light blue dress shirt, pink/grey tie, scarlet/gold/blue pocket square, Grey argyle socks with red dashed line picking up the red in the ps, Allen Edmonds penny loafers, Riviera wool blend trousers in medium grey. III. Accessories Monterey Kitty Hawk pilot watch and gold wedding ring on left hand Stainless steel Cuban link bracelet on right wrist Full grain leather belt Monarch red tobacco vanilla fragrance layered with a bit of Mission Fragrance Courage -- a combination and metaphor of "green" fading into the "warm spicy" of autumn. I think this blazer needs to be tailored in the body/waist.
