I feel so good wearing this combo. A window pane checked shirt in navy blue (Levis, short sleeves), a pair of brand new ivory-khaki chinos (Levis, relaxed fit) in cotton-linen-viscose blend. This is the first of my high rise pant looks (which I absolutely love). The belt is a black-cognac reversible one (I think Tommy Hilfiger). I wore a tan-green suede derby with a light colored pants-matching socks from Reebok. Overall, this looks so effortless. Tell me when you think (the image is cropped, but you got my style).

The Mass was beautiful. Chant and motets, in Latin and English. Our altar servers were magnificent in their cassocks and surplices, and deployed symmetrically ( as intended). Bells at the Gloria and incense throughout. My end was the music; it was sublime.

Basically being the ROTD simply means the guy or lady who finds and introduces the speaker. Happens about 3x per year for me in our size club. My speaker today was my friend Tad Jones. Tad played football for old Miss then transferred to Tulsa University where was the Quarterback. After that he was elected to the State House of Representatives (our band played for the house in the floor back then at his invite). He was the floor Leader for the house. Then he took the role of marketing director for Grand Lake of the Cherokees here in Oklahoma and in the middle of a toxic red algae scare his get-er-done approach landed the Bass Masters and instead of a horrible tourist season it saw its largest. Following that he took over as the Executive director of the Will Rogers Museum (WR is Oklahoma’s favorite son). Against unsurmountable (seemingly) odds he has recently raised over $18 million for a complete renovation of the memorial that will start August 14th. Hey fellas I have a date Saturday night at an upscale restaurant and I would like some thoughts on which style I should lean toward. The classic all black velvet blazer or Smooth button down shirt but if y'all have any other better suggestions I am all ears.
