The Green Room is going live. Are you interested?
We would love to start running some live sessions here, but first we want to know if you are interested, and what you would actually want them to cover. We are Tracey and Claire. Between us we have spent a lot of years on both sides of the camera, made plenty of mistakes, rebuilt more than once, and come back to this work with a lot more truth than we started with. We built this room because we know how alone this industry can make you feel, and we do not want that for you. We will most likely kick off by welcoming our new members and getting to know each other properly, and then let the sessions grow from what you tell us you need. So tell us two things in the comments. First, what would actually help you right now. Maybe it is around motivation, the panic when a tape lands, trusting your choices, rebuilding confidence, working out what casting is really looking for, or how a set actually works when you are new to it, on as a day player or a five day player, and there is a lot to take in. Nothing is too small, and nothing is off limits. Second, drop the day, time, and country you are watching from in the comments, so we can land on a time that works for as many of you as possible. We will read every comment, and the sessions will come straight from what you tell us here. Tracey and Claire ❤️

🎬 HELP US BRING MORE ACTORS INTO THE GREEN ROOM
We’ve just released our free 52-page Self-Tape Survival Kit—a practical guide designed to help actors create stronger, clearer and more professional self-tapes. Green Room members: you’ll find your copy of the complete 52-page e-book waiting for you in the Classroom. Some of the tools inside will already be familiar to you because they’re part of what we’re building here together. We’re sharing the complete e-book for free so more actors can stop second-guessing themselves and start trusting their process. If you know a fellow actor who would benefit, please share our Instagram or Facebook post with them. N.B - Make sure you COPY & PASTE AND ask them to 'DM us at @TheActorsCopilot with “HELL YEAH,” and we’ll send the guide directly to them.' Let’s bring more committed, supportive actors into the Green Room and build a community where nobody has to navigate this industry alone. 🔥 LIVE MASTERCLASS — 20 AUGUST AT 7:00 PM BST We also have a phenomenal live masterclass coming up with Anne Fremont—casting director extraordinaire. If anyone understands the kinds of roles we’re working towards, it’s Anne. She’ll reveal exactly what casting directors are looking for when casting guest and supporting roles—and what helps an actor’s audition stand out for all the right reasons. Invite your fellow actors, spread the word and help us bring even more talent, experience and energy into the Green Room. The stronger the room, the stronger we all become.

Your Flight Log is live, start your book of wins today
Over two years ago I handed a version of this to another acting coach I worked with, and I watched what it did for his actors. It moved people. Because here is the truth about this industry. We remember every failure and forget almost every win. We look back at the rejections, the near misses, the auditions that went to somebody else. We rarely stop to look back at the positive. And the positives are the proof. So we built you a simple place to keep them. Your Flight Log is your book of wins. Every time something good happens, log it. A kind comment on a monologue you posted. A booking. A workshop where the room lit up at your work. A callback. An audition where the feedback was warm. Yes, even the day your mother-in-law says you moved her. Log all of it, every single time. You will be amazed how quickly the pages fill. And we have given you an easy-access index. So on the days impostor syndrome creeps in, or the sheer difficulty of this industry feels heavy, you open your book of wins and read the evidence back in your own words. Trust us. This works. It builds momentum, and momentum is everything. As Denzel Washington put it, "every failed experiment is one step closer to success." Your Flight Log is where you keep the successes in view. Start today. Log one win. Then keep it close. your-book-of-wins.netlify.app Let's go do the real work. Tracey and Claire

I don’t know anything about it. Where and when is it? Is it a monologue competition?

The £10 Self Tape Investment
Five rolls. Five colours. One of the best investments an actor can make. Gaffer tape is the unsung hero of your self-tape studio. Use it to mark: 🎥 Your camera position 💡 Your light positions 👀 Your eyeline 🎬 Your tripod height 🧍 Your standing or sitting mark 📏 The exact distance between you and the camera Once your setup works, mark everything. Then, when an audition lands, there’s no guessing, no measuring, no wasting twenty minutes trying to recreate the perfect frame. Camera here. Lights here. Actor here. Boom. Your mini studio is ready. It may not be glamorous, but gaffer tape is absolutely an actor’s best friend!
