A little update from me today | 5 States of Rest
Due to a technical issue, today's opening session of the 5 States of Rest has been postponed. Everything we built toward today is still coming, just a little later than planned. Thank you for your patience and your trust. It means everything. MARK YOUR CALENDAR If your body brought you here, trust that it knows why. In the meantime... comment 'REST' and I will send you a link to your 5 States of Rest Quiz! PLEACE NOTE: ✧ We can only accept 100 submissions. ✧ Complete the quiz only once ✧ Your State of Rest will be shared in the coming days as we are collecting results manually. This is a bit of a grass roots offering and I am looking forward to exploring it all with you! Rest well. Be well, ✧☽ Ayla

In like a lamb, out like a...
We made it to the end of March... 🦁🐑 At the start of the month, I shared a little agricultural folklore and asked what kind of March we were stepping into. (Read Post) Now I'm curious... How did it feel for YOU? Drop your answer below! And if you want the full context, check out the original post. Not talking about the weather... talking about what moved through you this month. 🌱

Definitely more a lion than a lamb. What I’m more struck by though, as I went back and read the original post, is my hindsight or insight which emerged. I’m not quite sure which to call it but I gained a lot of clarity on where my choices were in and out of alignment. And where they were out of alignment, I could recognize what was driving me.
We are all Punch the Monkey 🐒🐒🐒
This week, I have been overly invested in the viral story of Punch, the monkey, going around. If you haven't seen yet, Punch is a baby Japanese macaque at the Ichikawa City Zoo in Japan who became a global internet sensation after a heartbreaking start to life. Here’s the story in a nutshell: - Punch’s mother rejected him soon after birth.. something that left him without the most fundamental source of comfort and security every infant primate depends on. 💔 - Zookeepers gave him a large stuffed orangutan plushie as a form of comfort and support. Punch clings to it constantly, carrying it like a lifeline. 🧸 This image is the moment that cracked people’s hearts worldwide. - Since joining the other macaques, Punch has been trying to figure out where he fits. He’s been pushed away. Bullied. Excluded. - And in between the hard moments, there are glimpses: an older macaque tolerating him nearby, one even taking time to groom him. Punch is in that messy middle space: not fully outside anymore, not fully secure yet either. And maybe that’s why we can’t look away. Because so many of us are in our own version of that phase: • New job • New community • Healing after rejection • Rebuilding trust • Trying again after being pushed out There’s something deeply human about watching this small little creature keep choosing connection - trying to fit in. Brave, sweet Punch. If you’re in your own integration season and it's feeling awkward, uncertain, hopeful.. you can take this as your reminder: sometimes finding our place takes time. 🐒✨ Anyone else weirdly obsessed with Punch this week? Or just me haha?

DAY 27 of 28 | Who is still with me!? 🖤✨
Over the last 27 days, I’ve been quietly experimenting. One practice in the morning on my couch or mat. One short one in the afternoon on my mat. One at night in my bed. And much has shifted but something fascinating... My dreams have become more vivid, textured, and alive. After years of practicing with structure, I’ve developed the capacity to self-guide. That capacity was built through dicipline and devotion. When I let the practice unfold from the inside rather than follow a script. A few nights ago, I sat for what felt like fifteen minutes in the liminal space petting my cat, Biggie, who passed away. It was probably closer to two. But time didn’t matter. I could feel the texture of his fur, freshly trimmed from the groomers. I could see his little pom-pom tail. Feel his weight. The warmth. I hold both joy and loss as I share this. It was so special be beyond the veil. In another session, I had the lucid awareness of a dragon gently extracting the pain from my heart. Strange? Yes. Symbolic? Absolutely. Healing? Without question. These experiences live somewhere between imagination and memory. Between conscious and unconscious. Between worlds. And I want to be clear. I’m not speaking about this in a mystical, untethered way. I’m speaking about the nervous system. The dreamscape is one of the places the psyche metabolizes what the waking mind cannot. When we practice regularly, especially in the morning and at night, we begin to build a bridge into that liminal space. Lucid. Soft. Receptive. It can feel like a vacation. Like stepping into another realm where repair happens quietly. Where the heart gets tended to without force. This last month, as I’ve been repairing my own heart, this devotion to the practice has been supporting me in ways I didn’t anticipate. There is something powerful about unlocking the dream body. About befriending the space between wakefulness and sleep. If you are feeling called to deepen your practice and go beyond... this is the season.

My dreams can be quite vivid, sometimes even revelatory. This post inspired me to do self lead practice this morning for about 20 minutes before I got out of bed. Very rich session. Thank you. I’ve noticed whenever I do contemplative practices of any kind with regularity, my recall, and the concreteness of my dreams increases. My working theory is that by consciously spending time in or near a dream state, that when I actually dream I’m more consciously able to access it. It is like the veil thins between the two states.
Day 22 of 28 | Thank You for Holding Me Too
Currently, I am preparing for the 2026 Nova Nidra Teacher Training. Between feeling my feelings, taking deep rest, and swinging a kettlebell(actually so fun!), I have been reviewing applications, meeting incredible humans on calls, and bringing the Peace in Rest space into one beautiful home for those who feel called to go beyond the recordings. After sharing from my heart yesterday, something shifted. It felt more open today. More grounded. Connected. This space was never meant to be a one-way transmission. I created it so we could gather. So we could meet on lives. So we could celebrate the new seeds, the new chapters, the courage it takes to begin again. Life is only ever happening now, and when we remember that, everything softens. Thank you to those of you who commented yesterday. For a moment, I forgot that I am a member here too. Your reflections reminded me. I also love it when you share your own posts, too! Hearing how Yoga Nidra is landing in your body, your sleep, your relationships, your inner dialogue. That is what makes this community ALIVE. Day 22 | Yogic Sleep | 50 minutes This was the Yoga Nidra that started this community! This was the Nidra that grew into over 900 Members! Thank you for making my dream a reality and supporting my work in your own way! 🎧 Free Members | 🎧 Premium & VIP Supporter HERE For those who want to go deeper, the special recordings inside the Nova Nidra Vault are where I pour a little extra intention into this space. These are practices designed to meet you in specific seasons of becoming. If you have been circling the idea of joining, consider this your nudge. And now I would love your voice in this. What should the next Vault Nidra be centred on? Vote below. Your nervous system gets a say in what we create next! 😉
