AI Freelancing
Hey everyone! Does anyone know of a good place to find freelance AI projects to join? I'm a senior software developer that just started to create LLM based applications.

Thanks @Christian Willig , indeed! I just made a post under 'General' with more details, don't hesitate to reach out (:
HIRING: Freelance AI-Developer(s)
Hey everybody! My own freelancing practice is getting to a stage where I need some extra hands for client work, and I think it would be a good opportunity for those here looking to get their freelancing off the ground. I have a few projects on the table around document automation, e.g., generating high quality reports and proposals using LLMs. Must-haves: - Backend/API development with Python - At least some (6mo+) frontend experience with TypeScript, and React or Next.js. - AI-engineering basics, i.e prompting, structured outputs and multi-step LLM-workflows. Nice-to-haves: - Infrastructure-as-Code (IaC), on at least one major cloud platform (AWS/Azure/GCP), and deployment automation. - Experience processing documents with LLMs/OCR. - Retrieval optimization for RAG, and LLM-evals in general. In a nutshell, someone with mid-level seniority, time-zone ideally in EU or USA. DM me with your relevant info (cv/linkedin/github and rates), and we'll talk more. (: You can also check out my youtube at @johannesjolkkonen, to see some of the work I've done.
How to make LLMs more reliable and reduce hallucinations
Hey everybody, new to the community here. I recently made a video which I think will be very helpful to anyone building with LLMs. Hopefully it's not frowned upon to share one's own content, and I don't plan on promoting my videos regularly – but thought this one would be valuable to the community. Hope you find it useful, and happy to answer any questions in the comments.

Hey everybody! I'm Johannes from Finland (but living in Barcelona now, as of 2 years). I've been building data- and AI-apps as a consultant for the last 5 years, closing in on 2 years as a freelancer. Over the last year, I've had the opportunity to work with a large Finnish consultancy, focusing specifically on AI-apps, and doing projects for several big-boy enterprise clients. Now, looking to start scaling my business from just freelancing to having more clients and a team of consultants. Also a fellow YouTuber! (/@johannesjolkkonen) Look forward to connecting with other devs and freelancers here. Thank you @Dave Ebbelaar for creating this community.

@Anaxareian Aia Thanks! Probably my most recent one, building customer call analytics for a financial institution, for a few reasons: 1. Having to navigate very strict data privacy concerns, due to the industry. The red tape was also frustrating at times, of course, but a good learning experience for handling those kinds of requirements in the future 2. It wasn't a "fancy" project, no agent stuff or complicated RAG. Just mostly pretty straightforward data engineering and text analytics, but very useful to the client. That's the kind of project I'm wanting to do more and more of, not trying to do AI for the sake of AI, but rather just focusing on simple, high-business-value applications.

Should have made this post when it happened, around a month ago, but hey better late than never uh. Some background to the story: for the past five years, I’ve been deeply involved in coding, developing a robust set of skills in Python and no-code tools. Initially, I spent around 3-4 years running a B2C business, where I enhanced my development skills and also gained good experience in understanding customer needs. Making the full switch to AI and developing AI-driven solutions has been an exciting journey (lots of downs with some ups), and I’ve dedicated countless hours to creating various projects, specially focusing on automated document generation & RAG Chatbots for everything from general Q&A, to closing leads, and client onboarding. And finally, at the start of September, I secured my first B2B client through warm outreach for a complex Retrieval-Augmented Generation (RAG) system I had been developing in Python for some time. → 🎯 Objective: Provide instant answers to all customer (student) queries through WhatsApp regarding a complex topic with various inter-related subjects. → ⁉️ Why: By offering a 24/7 automated solution, the client can reallocate over five employees to more significant tasks instead of having them answer the same repetitive questions repeatedly. Plus, it’s a unique selling proposition (USP) for them in a very outdated market. Plus, doing this whole process with custom code allows for the costs to be dirt cheap, thus making this whole thing very scalable. → 📌 How it works: Explained it on the video attached, hopefully it is clear enough (first time using Figma so.... not my best work that's for sure) I’m now in the process of closing three other deals, which will hopefully go through. So, if you’re looking for assistance in creating the overall architecture of AI solutions, facing challenges in development, or need to hire someone to develop a custom solution, feel free to reach out :) Either way, thank you for reading through the post. Hopefully this inspires or brings new ideas to you.

Nice, really concise presentation and good thinking on the conditional query-handling. More posts like this would be great to see in the community. Saludos desde Barcelona!
