AI Text Analyzer Feature
Hi All, I'm working on a new feature in the chrome extension for premium members+ that will analyze a skool post and let you know the % chance the text was AI-generated. It would be useful when moderating your communities and also to check your own stuff. The process I used to come up with the ruleset was: 1) Used codex for the initial implementation and ruleset v1 2) Plugged ruleset v1 into claude and asked for any adds, edits, or deletes, which gave v1.2 3) Plugged v1.2 into Gemini to get v1.3 4) Plugged v1.3 into GPT to get where we're at now, v1.4 Now I'm just testing it out with different posts. If you see a post in skoolers that is suspect or if you have any ideas for how to improve the ruleset, please let me know!

I'm thinking to kill this feature. It's "cool", but most of the AI-generated posts are pretty obvious. And if you discover a post that is AI, OK... now what? Will you just delete it from your community. If it's in another community will you inform the owner? Will you raise your arms triumphantly and exclaim "GOTCHA!". I am not really seeing the point, but I'm curios what does everyone think?
If you could only keep one thing in Skooly...
Which single one would you fight hardest to keep? Don't worry, I'm not removing anything, just seeing what you guys find most valuable!

@Evan Ezell @Blue Mojo Appreciate the feedback! All of these are driven by the chrome extension https://skoo.ly/extension , so once you have that installed you can poke around and experiment. I will do a deep dive video into the extension soon!

Also, trying to really focus in on what's most valuable to people and make that thing better.
This is only a test
The morning weather feels tentative, like it woke up without a plan. Clouds hang around doing very little, just enough to be noticed. The temperature sits in a comfortable middle ground that avoids strong opinions. A light breeze moves through now and then, mostly for effect. Sunlight shows up briefly, then disappears like it forgot something. The air smells clean, but not in a dramatic way. People dress in layers, just in case the sky changes its mind. It is the kind of weather that makes walks feel optional, not urgent. Nothing extreme happens, which is sort of the point. By evening, the day settles quietly, leaving no strong memories behind.

@Wendy Wiseman it's great for getting started and getting ideas and then injecting our own flavor/words/personality. I think it's fine if used like this and silly not to... but copy/paste straight outta GPT is a no go for me as well lol
Coming Soon: Group Bot Scan!
Hi All, Working on a new and improved bot scanner, which will check every member in your group and give a risk assessment as to the chances they're a bot/scammer. It's not foolproof, so make sure you look into anyone who comes up as high risk before taking action. I submitted it to google for review, so it should be out tomorrow inside the chrome extension -> SkoolyWatch -> Group Sweep Check it out! The music is for the Napoleon Dynamite fans out there. California Guitar Trio - Music for a Found Harmonium Vote for Pedro!

@Blue Mojo thank you!
Skool post observation
I noticed that Skool only shows the first ~115 characters or so of a post. When you’re making posts, especially long ones, I’d focus on those first 115 to ā€œhookā€ the reader right off the bat. Anything past 115 and the user has to click to see the rest. Not saying this is a good example lol, just something I noticed and wanted to share.
