Most Fun Job in Advertising?
You might want to apply so that I can get a $3,000 referral fee when you win the spot! AD PROFESSOR (newsletter@marketingplug.com) is HIRING > They'll want to see work that rivals, if not crushes, their own! Got what it takes? Well, you wouldn't be in THE AD AGENCY if you weren't, right? Don't wait long to reply — this actually could be the most fun job in advertising... until you meet the Professor? GOOD LUCK! Remember to mention me so that I can collect my bounty! 🤠

I resemble those remarks!
Your biggest hit might be today...
I live near Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Home of the Brewers (who are 2 games up on the Cubs, btw) and the biggest thing going at the ballpark for the past 30 years hasn't always been the team, but the RACING SAUSAGES. Everyone knows about them... and Klement Sausages is the brand behind it. And the guy behind that is a graphic designer (who I am working on to interview for us) is Michael Dillon. Who knew something so silly would become your signature marketing achievement? Today could be your day! 😆 ⚾ 🌭

Between Brooks Stevens creating the Wienermobile in 1957 I think, and Michael, who is more of a genius. It's a Dog Eat Dog world man!🤣🌭🌭🌭🌭🌭
Cracking Up Cracker Barrel Crack-Up?
Just days later, from the disastrous re-brand, Cracker Barrel has decided to call for a mulligan and crawl back to Uncle Herschel. Is this what you would have done?

I say ride the billion dollar PR stunt. Go for a redo, but at least have a little-country-bumpkin-vibe please for everyone south of the mason dixon line(wherever that is). Go read some of the comments from the lovers and the haters. Now take the billion you saved in PR and marketing and redo your menu, training, "store" design, posture and everything. And it's like a win-win if you're very lucky and if they believe from the top down. I was at a Cracker Barrel a few months ago in Wisconsin and as we met someone from the South visiting, I thought when was the last time I was in one of these? When did this one come to the Milwaukee/Menomonee Falls area? Was I ever here before? I know why now, but it has potential. Let's see what the powersthatbe come up with!
Boring advertising that actually isn't so boring...
Just stumbled across this ad-post in LinkedIn from PNC Bank. In line with the previous TAA Skool Post on Risky Creative... this is a much milder approach, but I believe clever in it's simplicity to be effective at stopping traffic and getting positive brand recognition.... despite Meagan's eye roll on being a "gold digging" throw-back.

Meagan is certainly part of the hater club. I get it. Mr. Mike, has there ever been an ad with all thumbs up? Doubtful. Probably No. Maybe: THE 1984 Ad?
