PPS Skool community is now Public.
Hello PPS Skool community members, As @Robert Nagy and I shared a month ago via pinned post "A change is coming to our PPS Skool Community" (pinned) and via DM and email, today, 01st June, we are change this setting to public. This means anyone visiting the community page will be able to read the posts and comments inside, including ones you've already made. And we can reach more independent consultants and make it easier for them to find us when searching online and in the Skool Discovery where people can search for communities of interest. Thank you to everyone who has provided supportive comments and messages about our decision to make the community Public and more vibrant. We will still screen members joining via their LinkedIn profile. Skool has some excellent features now to prevent bots, high risk or fake accounts joining. Any questions, feel free to ask 😊 PS : It's also the first day of Winter in Australia and happens to be Rob's birthday. Feel free to share some love in the comments πŸ’• PPS: We will be opening up Growth Lab soon, of course, you will be the first to learn more!

Getting the word out... how one interview led to another :)
A few weeks ago a friend and former colleague, Lakshmi, who @Robert Nagy and I worked with via a mentoring program, tagged me in a post on LinkedIn, her friend, Sian, was looking for couples in business (friends, partners, family etc) to interview for The Co-founder Couple. I responded and connected with Sian and did a really enjoyable interview with her. A week or so later after the interview was written up, she shared it for me and then she posted it on LinkedIn and I shared it. A former mentee of ours, Sabina, is running some programs and retreats for couples in business and she did a search on LinkedIn and the article came up. So she invited us to do a YouTube interview for their new channel. How cool is that! Here is the link if you want to have a read of the first interview: https://www.linkedin.com/posts/jodiewillmer_want-to-know-more-about-how-robert-nagy-and-ugcPost-7464877006493655040-TaM6/

Scarcity mindset - testing pricing
Hello friends I've had my first conversation testing the pricing of my first product... so I know I can't get ahead of myself because there are more conversations to be had... and therefore, more opportunities. But how do you get people to move past the scarcity mindset they have in NFP and Councils? Is this something that is fairly unique to volunteer engagement because we have done without for so long? How do you even find the organisations who value PD and have money set allocated for this? I got some fairly clear messages today after sharing about my workshop (and this person experienced the workshop and the outcomes and feedback when I first ran it): β€’ Council runs on the smell of an oily rag β€’ I only had money to pay you because I went on leave and had to spend my budget β€’ We only paid 25% of what you're charging for a workshop from the peak body I will continue my conversations. I have another 4 or 5 to come. But I feel like I have to be prepared for similar themes and to have a strategy to speak to this, to challenge this, and to keep on building offers that deliver solutions to the challenges organisations face. Thanks for your encouragement. I'm going to go pull some positives from the conversation now. It wasn't a no, that's for sure... but it was clearly led by limitations.

@Tracey ONeill awesome news πŸ˜„β€οΈπŸ‘πŸŽ‰. Keep us posted!! This is how it often works. The other day we created a new offer and the next day, I bumped into the CEO of a local organisation, who said "I was about to call you this afternoon to see if you can facilitate this thing".. it was exactly the offer we just created 😊 and she was on my list to talk to about it, and then they asked if they can add another project to it which is also our jam.. all with our ideal clients πŸ₯³.. It's now a 4 week engagement.

@Tathra Street great to hear your thoughts and not old news at all. I agree with your 2 points. I often ask the client about the cost of not doing anything. Glad that the ACNC lookup trick is working for you still πŸ˜ŠπŸ‘
