Replacing Power BI Dashboards with AI-Coded Dashboards: Real Saving or Hidden Cost?
I’ve been seeing people replacing Power BI dashboards with dashboards built using AI coding tools like Claude Code. Some influencers are also selling this idea as a way to reduce license costs and build dashboards faster. Has anyone here tested this or actually implemented it in a real business workflow? Did it really save money? How was the maintenance, governance, sharing, security, and user adoption compared to Power BI? I’m curious to understand where this approach makes sense and where Power BI still wins.
@Jay Mansperger thank you, in the end a code base solution you create a dependence on you and if this solution you create on company that you work for it can become a "bottleneck"
@Biel Sánchez thank you, i've been thinking a lot about this. And maybe to create something like this is better when you're selling a project or a custom solutions for customer that you will provide the maintenance like a SAAS and the dashboard will be just a part of the project not the entirely solution. For a company that has a lot of business users Power BI or whereaver BI tool keep the best solution.
Codex review
hey guys, are you still using codex for review codes? or is there something better?
@Henry Dickson great and what are your main uses? what you are developing?
@Henry Dickson sounds good, and it's interesting how AI can perform in multiple roles.
🚨 AI Isn't Waiting for Anyone.
A friend of mine in business recently shared something that really got me thinking. He told me a client canceled a project worth over $1,000. The reason? "Unfortunately, Claude has replaced you." Whether we like it or not, AI is changing the way businesses operate. But here's what I believe: AI isn't replacing people. It's replacing people who refuse to adapt. The opportunity today isn't to compete against AI. It's to learn how to use AI to become faster, more valuable, and more efficient. No matter your profession: ✅ Marketing ✅ Customer Support ✅ Sales ✅ Design ✅ CRM Management ✅ Automation ✅ Content Creation ✅ Programming There is an AI tool that can help you do your job better. The people who thrive over the next few years won't necessarily be the smartest... They'll be the ones willing to keep learning. I've been investing a lot of time into AI automation, GoHighLevel, CRM systems, voice AI, chatbots, and workflow automation, not because it's a trend, but because this is where businesses are heading. Don't wait until AI becomes your competition. Learn how to make it your greatest advantage. What AI tool has had the biggest impact on the way you work? 👇
@Chad Samuel exactly and it is a combination of multiple skills not just technology.
@Chad Samuel indeed!
Data Security Measures
I am automating the sales order and invoice generation using claude along with daily and monthly report. I want to ensure client data is safe and is not used for internal training purpose. What measures are you following to maintain secured data ?
Posting here just to follow the topic.
What's up with Codex?
8 commands, burned through my usage, use a reset. One command, burns 35% of my usage. Anyone else feeling this pain the last 2-3 weeks?
last weekend it happened with me too, i was developing the same thing in paralellal using claude code and codex and in a few minutes codex burned all of my tokens.
