This is so helpful @Chris Legaspi ...I've done quite a few 1:1 studies (starting at number 7 😳) and I then have to look back and try and draw out what I have learned....so much better to start things this way around. Oh, and I love the way you approach the live streams - spontaneous, honest, authentic and always funny - reminds me a bit of Ilya Mirochnik - he always made me laugh too - it makes it much more interesting than videos that are semi scripted and where anything not perfect is edited out. Looking forward to the next one 😊.
Halloween #4
Well, I certainly fell short of my lofty goal, think I could squeeze in one more by the time Halloween rolls around. Its been fun doing the sharp contrast and dramatic lighting of the old black and white horror flicks. Despite falling short of my intentions, just having the goal in mind has been motivating to keep going despite knowing that I wont make it. This guy is from the 1935 film "Mad Love" check it out sometime!

@Frank Schrijvers sounds like a great thing to focus on 👍
Almost there...
This painting has been in my easel for a while....pretty pleased with it so far... It's based off a black and white photograph of Christoph Waltz with a bit of Sherlock Holmes thrown in with the overcoat and a teeny nod to Miami Vice with the open shirt... I'm going to let it sit for a while before I declare it finished. 😊.

A sketch instagram bans me for
I can't post this on instagram even with black dots on the nipples. I will still get a ban. So there you go a sexually offensive sketch for you. You have to be 40+ to look at it. I believe it is 1.5 years old or so. This is highly textured paper which makes detail VERY tough at a small size. I just wanted to let the grey shine through and be subtle with my whites. I also wanted to capture the stretch in her arms and neck. It is amazing how I have to change my drawing process depending on the paper I use. I am very much a material dude so I try it all. I will give this paper another try for sure. Just bigger.

My art obsession started with the concept art behind the Lord of the Rings films. Retired early and now pushing on to see how far this thing can go!
