When I started my YouTube channel just over two years ago, I never imagined I’d be closing in on 1 million views! All from people watching me play with sand and molten silver! What really blows my mind is that most of these views have come in just the last six months, since working with one on one with @Alexa Saarenoja Can’t thank her enough for the guidance ! WoooHooo! (yes… I will keep saying that forever now 😅).

I feel like I should run around and celebrate, but it just sort of landed when I was focussing on everything else that I'm trying to juggle! I guess this would be a good time to stop and notice that I've just reached a goal.

Hi all! I’m puzzled, so I thought I’d come to my favourite hive mind 😉 I’ve posted a short and YT have kindly picked a still for the thumbnail where I look like a gremlin. I don’t usually consider myself vain, but 😁. Anyway, you’re supposed to be able to change the thumbnail in the app. Thing is, I seem to have a different interface. There’s no facility to change it, and I don’t have the usual thing where you can make a short directly in the app. I’ve tried uninstalling a reinstalling, but no cigar. I decided to release this as a shorter long form video. I may still add onto my longer video on caregiver shock. This is the video with the AI generated song and lyrics. I had a lot of fun working with my thumbnail creator and getting this put together. I did the editing in CapCut by adding the photos. It’s not spectacular, but I’m pretty happy with it. So on a random Saturday 3 weeks ago I woke up feeling down in the dumps. As one tends to do when the mood is low, I picked up my phone and started doom scrolling. Then YouTube gave me Alexa’s video, and of course I clicked on it. I genuinely don’t know what it was about that video, but I felt like she was kicking me in the butt and telling me to get up and do something to move myself closer to my dreams. Within 2 days I’d gone from 67 subs to 90. I told my husband, I’m going to hit 100 subs by Sunday! Well, I closed Sunday with about 400 subs 🤯🤯🤯 And it just! kept! going!!!!! Today, just 3 weeks later, I have almost 3,500 subs and 62k views! I 👏 was 👏 not 👏 ready! 😅 So here I am, feeling all the imposter syndrome in the world as people keep DMing me asking for help/advice. But also suuuper excited for what the future holds 😁 Thank you Alexa for the kick in the butt all the way here in Kenya 🤩🤩🤩
