Hi 👋👋👋 I’m Jojo. I joined the community pretty soon after Alexa opened it up, then had a baby a few days later 😅 So I’m finally in a place where I can start engaging. I’m from Nairobi, Kenya. My YouTube channel is all about sharing my lessons and experiences working remotely from Africa, with the hopes of helping more Africans work remotely at a world-class level. I recently had a video go viral (I’ll share in the wins section) and that’s about all the motivation I need to finally engage here, because wow! Does this journey need a ton of support or what?! So on a random Saturday 3 weeks ago I woke up feeling down in the dumps. As one tends to do when the mood is low, I picked up my phone and started doom scrolling. Then YouTube gave me Alexa’s video, and of course I clicked on it. I genuinely don’t know what it was about that video, but I felt like she was kicking me in the butt and telling me to get up and do something to move myself closer to my dreams. Within 2 days I’d gone from 67 subs to 90. I told my husband, I’m going to hit 100 subs by Sunday! Well, I closed Sunday with about 400 subs 🤯🤯🤯 And it just! kept! going!!!!! Today, just 3 weeks later, I have almost 3,500 subs and 62k views! I 👏 was 👏 not 👏 ready! 😅 So here I am, feeling all the imposter syndrome in the world as people keep DMing me asking for help/advice. But also suuuper excited for what the future holds 😁 Thank you Alexa for the kick in the butt all the way here in Kenya 🤩🤩🤩
