Im Jimmy Hudson. I was Shawn Lane's tech and student for 8 years and have been touring since 1994 and teaching since 1996. Sid Wolf is a former professor of mine from The Atlanta Institute of Music and a former student of Shawns as well. Shawn was helping both of us write curriculum for our schools and we have been working for literally 30 years on this and we are finally starting to get it out there and Chris Alexander told me to reach out to you, that you might be interested in helping us build what we are doing! Im always about being the student ;)

@Jon Bjork Thank you Jon!
Paul Gilbert On Practice
Found this interesting transcript from a VIP group lesson with Paul. Needless to say I TOTALLY agree with his thoughts on practicing slow enough to do it perfectly.

There are two thoughts on this and both are important. I spent many hours when I was in school with a metronome set to 40 to 60 doing half to quarter notes with my professors and if I screw up, start over. The timing, attack, picking direction, everything had to be perfect. This is definitely how you build accuracy and articulation. However, you must also absolutely push your limits and this was the Shawn Lane approach. IMHO both are very important. The Ben Moder approach on the slow end even has you playing at like 10bpm. Now Shawn and Paul were very close friends and I got to know Paul pretty well while I was a student at AIM because Steve Freeman was the founder and President of AIM and we also had Jimmy Herring on staff along with Shane Theriot so Paul cam out quite a bit!
