Total Gym Workout or Training Video
Figured I'd drop this over to you guys as I'm feeling the urge to make another total gym video and or band video on the channel. Let me know if there's a workout and or related training video you want to see. Summer is lining up though for both some very cool band and sliding bench content regardless if everything goes as planned. Hope you all are doing and performing well, Mike

I'm always down for bands video. I doubt I'll ever have a TG, so it's kind of a blank spot for me. But nothing says you can't do a TG and then a Bands video, and StrengthErg. 😁

@Mike D Probably the main reason I wouldn't get a TG is because of space. I don't really have any place that I can lay out something that's 8 feet long, needing a 5 foot wide area to work in just wouldn't work. I wouldn't like having to fold it up and put it away- too much of a pain. It's one of the reasons I like the strength third as I can leave that set up in place and just jump on it when I want. A second reason is that some of those exercises would be very uncomfortable for me. I can't kneel very well and being 6 foot five. I can see my feet dragging on the floor for a lot of those exercises. And lastly, it comes down to cost. If I'm gonna be spending a large amount of money, I'd rather spend it on the StrengthErg that I know I would use more than the TG, that I probably wouldn't use as much. Of course, if I had the room and money I would get both. But I would probably buy a squat rack or functional trainer first.
SportGrips 2.0
I can't find the Video where Mike was saying how much he liked the SportsGrip and how cool Marty of SportsGrip was to deal with. Well it typical Mike fashion, he was spot on. In the video Mike mentioned that Marty had several of the 2.0 available for like $130 (actually $139). Since EVERY product that Mike as said he liked, I've been super happy with, I wrote to Marty about getting one. I wrote him that Mike told us he might still have some of the v2. This was on Easter Saturday. On Easter Sunday Marty wrote back with the correct price and that he did have a couple left. There was some difficulty with Marty getting the PayPal invoice to me. I told him not to worry, got his PayPal account and sent him the money. It arrived today, four days via UPS, from Connecticut to Nebraska. This is built like a tank, and very smooth. I'm not going to review it - Mike did that. I'll just say that once again Mike was spot on. The knurling is perfect, great grip. My forearms and hands are toast. I'll be packing this when I'm on shoots. There is often a lot of 'down time' waiting for model\set\wardrobe changes, so might as well put that time to good use. 😁

Using it daily for almost 3 weeks. Getting results 🤣

But seriously, I do feel it for sure. I use it several times daily, I go to failure. I do think my grip is stronger. Not really expecting huge arms, just want stronger grip and grip endurance.
Quick check-in for you guys…
I didn't forget about you guys and like I keep saying, this very slow moving until I get a course loaded on. I still haven't plugged this group in any way since my initial post. I'm working on putting together some more structured training content and wanted to get a pulse from this group. Where are you currently getting stuck? Is it: - knowing what exercises to pick? - putting together a full program? - progressing (what to increase, when, etc.)? - staying consistent? - working around injuries or limitations? Or something else? Just trying to make sure I build stuff that actually helps vs adding more noise

I have a full set of everything Clench makes (double on bands), and a set of Repins, a Cheap bench and a landmine. Really thinking about a StrenthErg. I'm 71 so not likely to build huge muscles, but do want to keep strong. So a band\dumbbell workout, explaining why you would use what equipment for which exercise would be great. So would StrengthErg workouts.
Hybrid site links
Hi Mike, Can you please post the links to all the YouTube and other social media sites you have going? Thanks, Jimi
Why I don’t stick to just one way of training
One thing I’ve noticed from doing YouTube and just being in fitness for a long time is how easy it is to fall into camps. Bands vs weightsMachines vs free weightsCertain programs, certain “gurus,” etc. I actually like when people are passionate about what they’re doing no question. What I don’t really understand is when people start arguing one method or one piece of equipment is the answer and everything else is wrong. That’s usually where I see people actually get stuck or just jump to the next thing. Especially with home gyms, I think the biggest mistake is trying to force one tool to do everything. What I’ve found works a lot better (and is honestly more fun) is mixing things based on what they do well. -Bands give you great constant tension and can be really joint friendly -Free weights just feel raw and hard to replace for loading and progression -Machines are nice for controlled, targeted work -Sliding bench trainers let you hit some unique angles and string things together in ways you normally can’t None of these are perfect on their own. But when you combine them, you can build something that actually fits (and is unique to) you instead of trying to force yourself into one system. Anyway, just some thoughts, I’ll share more of how I actually put this stuff together as this page progresses. Curious what you guys are mainly using right now and or questions you may have for future content over here. Thanks

In my home setup I'm space limited. So I have an extensive band setup, everything that Clench makes, a bunch of Vector Athletics stuff, Repins, kettlebell, and a landmine. One of those I mount half way up the wall (no rack) to use for a viking press and squats. I really am thinkng about a StrengthErg. As you can see, i have a little variety, but no big machines. I have access to them, but at 71 I find what I have beats snoodles out of me. I think everything hits differently. I know bicep curls with dumbells fells different that with bands. Sometimes I'll do bands and dumbells back to back on the same exercise. I'm sure I'm not hitting as hard as some of you. But at the end of an hour, I'm toast. Banded squats let me put some energy into them, where I couldn't do it with a barbell on a back squat. I like dumbell chest presses better than bands though. As Mike has shown, variety is the spice of life!
