For me, it has to be "embrace the crappy first draft". Instead of stopping to fiddle with my sentences, when I'm writing the first draft, I keep pushing forward to get the story out first. Then I go back and revise. It's a waste of time to polish the first chapter to perfection if it ends up being cut in revisions! What about you?
