Hi everyone, I know it’s been a while since I posted in here. I wanted to talk about something that happened this week that left me feeling so hurt and I realized that I really wanted my community of Christian creators to lean on for support. This week someone involved in my business informed me that two of the biggest mentors in the UGC space have talked very badly about me calling me names. I am pretty sure I know who the 2-3 individuals are as they are mostly coaches who’s communities I joined and or bought digital products from, and because I didn’t perform something to their liking— like buying their $$$$ course or what have you, I was informed that they’ve perpetuated this negative rumor about me in the space. I can’t even begin to describe how hurt I’ve been. These are mentors with 10s of thousands of followers who I looked up to. But over the last year I watched them tear down other creators on their platforms, shame people publicly, and all kinds of subtle mean girl behavior that feels so toxic. These people act one way to your face and another behind closed doors. I feel so down about this because these women are so influential in this space and I feel so powerless and angry. It reminded me why I started this group. After the conference I attended last July where my disappointment in the UGC secular world was born— I felt like I needed to create a place where Christians can feel safe in this industry. Although my goals have changed and I don’t see myself creating any digital products to sell, I still want to keep this group active and let there be a place of peace anyone can come to get away from this ugliness. If you all could pray for me, and pray for those contributing to this toxicity, I would appreciate it. They need prayer and I’m trying to pray for them. I wish it didn’t have to be this way. I don’t want to be angry and bitter but I’m so hurt. All I wanted was to make friends with people at the same stage of my career as me, and I’ve found that everyone “high up” is extremely hard to befriend because they’re too busy selling courses and turning people into dollar signs.

Plus he raves about me so much he pitched me to a huge brand he consults for… like a big global skincare brand. I think I’m ready to really transition into Creative Strategy and be more selective with the UGC I take on. I want to teach you all how to bolster your Creative Strategy muscles.
