Any fun plans this weekend?
What is everybody up to this weekend? For us, soccer consumes a chunk of every Saturday with our son. ⚽ Then we plan on being outside a lot this weekend - it is gorgeous here (almost 80 degrees right now β˜€οΈ)

Well, we are expecting 18 inches of snow! Hubby is getting out the snow shoes and we'll go tire ourselves and the dogs out on the trails near our house. (It's been warm-ish so the lake is no longer frozen enough to walk across, alas ...) (Yeah, we don't bank on spring until May.)

Happy Sunday! I hope everyone is having a great weekend. We just celebrated our daughter's 10th birthday today with her bestie and family. She is turning 10 on the 10th. 😳 πŸ’œ I have a fun question today for all of you. Would you rather get away to the mountains or the beach, if you can only pick one? And why? Mountains! I grew up (in KANSAS) listening to John Denver and imagining elevation and pine trees and mountain lakes. I love everything about them and don't get into them often enough. And I discovered, upon moving to Minnesota (land-o-lakes) in my 40s, that I'm not really a water girl: water is pretty to look at, but I don't feel super compelled to get in. Weird!

Last week I "broke the seal" on my too-long-packed-away yoga practice. (@Jennifer Gaydeski that was the phrase you used a few weeks back that I was trying to think of! Love it!) Anyway, I used to practice several hours a week, and then I taught for a while, and then (omg 20 years in) it all started to fall by the wayside. For a long time I didn't practice in part because I had all these ideas about the "right" way to practice and was too much in my head. So starting last week β€” and continuing this week β€” I'm just showing up "on the mat" in the morning and seeing what happens. Maybe very little. Listening to my body and my energy and working my way back. I will tell you, yoga at 50-something is different than yoga at 20-, 30-, and even 40-something. Namaste, Baby!
