Total newbie 😬
Hi there. Super excited to start this new journey of mine. I’m 44 years old. I used to inline skate but only forward and simple stopping. That’s all lol. Now I took on quad skating for the esthetic. I think they look so fly when you’re vibing. I love the retro look. I love music and dance. As I’m getting older I wanted to pick an activity that challenged my balance and would help me improve. Any New Yorkers? Any older individuals starting to learn? How did you get over your fear of falling? I think that’s where I’m stuck. I continue to fall on outstretched arms and that is concerning. I was told that I’m putting to much weight on my heels and I think that’s true 😬

Hello and welcome! Be sure to check out Knejie's class room here, many videos to get started for you, including falling and how to avoid it. Also, Dirty Deborah Harry is great for know how and practice, you find her on youtube.
Bots & Spammers
I apologize to anyone who has interacted with bots, spammers, or solicitors in this group. I am going through and removing all of them permanently, and will try to keep an eye on it. If you get a DM, read a post, or engage with an account that seems like a bot, a scammer, or someone in here to sell their products or services, please report it to me or an admin, and we will handle it. Thank you.

Just did read a dm again, and blocked the person. I don't like getting generic messages like that ~ "I'm new to this community and would love to connect with great people like you. I hope you're open to sharing knowledge and ideas with one another." Yeah, right. Just actually engage within the forum, or make a post like "hi I'm new here", thank you.
What wheels?
What wheel do you recommend for outdoor skating? I currently have 85A but have only been using indoor. I would like to have the confidence to skate outdoors more. I also have wheels that’s are 78A. Should I be changing them each time?

Yes, or you get another pair of skates, just for outdoor skating ☀️🛼 78A is my absolute favorite for outside, as it absorbs any terrain, even the ruffest
