Crossovers
I'd say I'm an upper mid level skater but im new to quads coming off of blades for 3 years. I'm still struggling with crossing over fully, my legs are well built and they hinder me a bit. Can I get a bit of advice?

Try them off skates first, cross overs as well as cross unders. Bend your knees more while crossing, that should solve the issue with your legs. When the weight is fully on the foot that has done the cross over, immediately let the other leg glide away from the other foot, before you lift it off for crossing it over, too.
How do I make my body look less awkward.
I feel like the prettiest T. rex ever. Tips to get this torso in check? just a sloppy flow - I was already over 3 hours in my body tapping out I’ll take any pointers

@Paula Pride what you said, totally! @Eden Perez to me it looked laid back, so yeah, keep on rolling like you do, even after 3 hours already
OUCH!!! OUCH!!! OUCH!!!!
Ok! Where are my 40 plus members??? I was at the rink last Friday and stopped to help a little girl get up...long came two other teen girls behind me and I tumbled over. I didn't think anything of it. i got up, helped the three little girls up, and I kept skating. Finished the session, then the next day came!!! Oh my my my... it took my all week to recover! Lol... it hurts a lot more and a lot longer after "a little tumble" . My goodness... I have muscles that I did not know existed!!! Good news: nothing is broken 😀 I'm back at it tonight 🤪

@Matt Z I agree 💯 Slowly integrating stretching into a regular habit by now, because it helps against stiffness related hurting, too. I think she's great, and has a style that's refreshing. I like how you learn something new in every video of her.

Well hello, I'm a blader, too 🙂 It's been a few years already that I changed quads for inline hockey skates, rolling around outside during spring and summer, and if weather permits, until autumn.

Total newbie 😬
Hi there. Super excited to start this new journey of mine. I’m 44 years old. I used to inline skate but only forward and simple stopping. That’s all lol. Now I took on quad skating for the esthetic. I think they look so fly when you’re vibing. I love the retro look. I love music and dance. As I’m getting older I wanted to pick an activity that challenged my balance and would help me improve. Any New Yorkers? Any older individuals starting to learn? How did you get over your fear of falling? I think that’s where I’m stuck. I continue to fall on outstretched arms and that is concerning. I was told that I’m putting to much weight on my heels and I think that’s true 😬
