When did parenting become difficult for you?
Let’s be real for a second… Did anyone else picture parenting feeling a little more natural than this? Not saying it’s all bad—there are so many good, sweet, hilarious moments—but some days it just feels like: - You’re second guessing everything - You’re overstimulated before 10am - And somehow everyone needs you at the exact same time And then you wonder… am I doing this right? If that’s you, you’re not alone in this space 🤍 Let’s talk about it—👉 What part of parenting has felt harder than you expected lately?

The older they get and the more complex their feelings/needs are, the harder I find it. While the total dependence of an infant is exhausting in its own right, I constantly worry if I’m making the right decision with older toddlers.
Monday struggles…
Monday Night Parent Poll 👇 Let’s be honest for a second… What was the most repeated phrase in your house today? A. “Stop hitting your brother/sister.” B. “Did you wash your hands?” C. “We are NOT having another snack.” D. “Please take a deep breath.” E. Something else entirely 😅 Parenting reality: we repeat the same 5 sentences about 87 times a day. So now I’m curious… What phrase did you say the most today? Drop it in the comments ⬇️ Let’s see which one wins the unofficial Parenting Phrase of the Day Award. 🏆

Not sure why I didn’t see this sooner, but B! Also have to add “flush the toilet and wipe” to the washing hands. 🤪
Working parents and the work/life balance myth
If you’re a working parent, you’ve probably felt the pressure to “balance it all.” Work. Kids. Marriage. House. Health. Friendships. Personal growth. But here’s the truth most people don’t say out loud: Balance doesn’t usually look like everything running smoothly at the same time. Some days you’re the rockstar employee who answers emails, finishes projects, and feels on top of everything. Other days you’re the parent sitting on the floor playing dinosaurs, folding laundry during nap time, and reheating your coffee for the fourth time. And sometimes… you feel like you’re doing none of it perfectly. That doesn’t mean you’re failing. It means you’re human. Real balance for working parents often looks like shifting priorities instead of perfectly dividing time. Some weeks work needs more of you. Other weeks your family does. Your kids don’t need a perfectly balanced parent. They need a present one. They need someone who: • shows up • apologizes when they’re overwhelmed • laughs with them • keeps trying So if today felt messy, chaotic, or imperfect… You’re probably doing better than you think. ❤️

“Good parenting”
Before kids, I thought good parenting meant: • Always being patient • Having a perfectly clean house • Cooking healthy meals every night • Kids who listened the first time After kids, I’ve learned good parenting sometimes looks like: • Apologizing when you lose your patience • Chicken nuggets for dinner • A messy house but lots of laughter • Teaching the same lesson 37 times And guess what? That’s okay. Sometimes the best parenting happens through the mistakes we make. Kids don’t need perfect parents. They need safe, loving, consistent ones. 💬 Let’s normalize real life. Drop one thing you thought parenting would be like… and what it’s actually like. 👇

That’s my face most of the time. 😂
Time for a poll!
You finally get the kids to bed. The house is quiet. The toys are (mostly) picked up. What’s the FIRST thing you do? 👀 A. 🍿 Turn on a show you’ve been waiting to watch B. 📱 Scroll your phone in complete silence C. 🍫 Grab a snack you hid from the kids D. 🧺 Start doing the 47 things you couldn’t do all day E. 😴 Accidentally fall asleep on the couch 👇 Drop your answer in the comments! Bonus question: What’s your current binge-worthy show right now? I need recommendations! Parenting truth: Sometimes the quiet after bedtime feels like the best part of the day. And that’s okay. 😅
