“Good parenting”
Before kids, I thought good parenting meant:
• Always being patient
• Having a perfectly clean house
• Cooking healthy meals every night
• Kids who listened the first time
After kids, I’ve learned good parenting sometimes looks like:
• Apologizing when you lose your patience
• Chicken nuggets for dinner
• A messy house but lots of laughter
• Teaching the same lesson 37 times
And guess what?
That’s okay.
Sometimes the best parenting happens through the mistakes we make.
Kids don’t need perfect parents.
They need safe, loving, consistent ones.
