Morning Rituals
What morning habits/rituals do you have for yourself? Is there something you have learned about yourself that you have found to be important to prioritize in the morning? I’ve found the create a more refined energetic and emotional baseline for my day. Giving me a foundation or grounding point to move from rooted in my authenticity and how I want to show up for the world. I find when I skip my rituals I can be easily swayed to behave or show up in ways that are not aligned with the highest version of me. Mine are water and minerals right a way when I wake, a step outside with some breaths of fresh air, some light movement or a walk outside in the first hour of waking, and 20-30 minutes of breathing and meditation. Do you have morning practices? If so how do they support you in your life? Please take the poll and share your rituals. 🙏❤️

I also feel like my answer isn't quite listed. I have had morning routines that I have stuck to religiously, but as soon as one part of them is thrown off, they are thrown off completely, especially when we're traveling. I have struggled for the last 3-4 months to have a morning routine that doesn't simply include coffee. I would like to find something that I can do, whether it happens first thing or after the day gets started a bit. A short breath exercise would be something I could easily fit into my morning, before or after I get caught up with the day. For some reason I have the ingrained belief that meditation can't happen after I have consumed coffee, as if it loses its essence. Coffee consumption is a whole other conversation, but is there any reason breathing exercises should come before coffee?

@Jordan Carr That would be awesome. I can always spare 10 minutes before I start the day.

¡Hola! My name is Jesse. I call Denver home base, but spend a good part of the year traveling with my partner in our camper van. Currently in Todos Santos, BCS Mexico. Our lives are constantly on the move. As wonderful as that can be, I often feel like I get caught up in the energy around me and find it difficult to maintain a mindfulness practice. The old adage, 'Wherever you go, there you are' comes to mind. I am working on being more grounded wherever I am, despite the chaos around me. I have had glimpses of the space between my thoughts where I have found pure joy and love. I would like to cultivate and grow that space and make it easier to find wherever I might be.

Constantly in motion, mentally and physically. Formative years spent in Hawaii, followed by the PNW, CO and now the road. Trying to find balance.
