nice one. will you be moving this into a assembly or working in a single part file?

It is a cool looking model! Unfortunately I don't have the Maker's version of solidworks so I cannot open your file. how did you model the tub? Is it surfacing? if you have a moment, can you post a screenshot of the feature tree?

it looks like maybe you put a fillet on the edge that is facing the camera, but the back side has no fillet, so it is poking through?
Sweep cut
Hi, may I please ask for some guidance for sweep cut. I'm not very familiar with sweep cut and need some help to solve this issue. I have a circular cut out of a pipe wall which I want to make a weld prep like the sketch. When I model this I'm not able to create the weld prep with the vertical mid-line vertical all around, it seems like the mid-line angle outwards and doesn't cut even around the model. The front plane view looks right, but the Right plane view is wrong. Thank you in advance.

@Bjørn Mikkelsen The first problem I see is that your Sketch57 for Cut-Sweep30 is not fully defined. In particular the line that is supposed to be cutting the edge is free to move around, which it WILL do when being swept [pic 1]. you need to add that 22.0mm vertical dimension[2] After that, you need to use the options in Cut-Sweep30 to control the twist of the profile as it is swept. -- right now you have the twist set to "Minimum Twist" [3] Change "minimum twist" to "Specify direction vector" and select the world Top plane as the direction [4] That will keep the vertical lines in your cutting sketch locked to the vertical axis of the world (perpendicular to the top plane) [5] File is attached. Take a look. Hope that helps!

@Bjørn Mikkelsen glad it worked for you!
Assembly question
Hi, as you see in the video the part that moves is slipping. Now is there a way of making the round part nicely roll on the flat surface without slipping?

Check into gear mates, especially rack and pinion type. Gear mates are under the advanced or mechanica tab of the mate tool property manager iirc

Here’s a little model to do [pics attached]. The dimensions are just to give a general idea, but it doesn’t matter as long as your shapes are similar. ** when you finish, please don’t share your secrets yet. Just post screenshots! ** We will look at all the ways to do it later The first task is to make it any way you can and then the bonus task is make this model with only one sketch on the side plane. — use as many sketches as you like on the top, but the you only get a single sketch on the side plane. Also if you can’t figure out the angled faces on the posts then don’t worry at first. If you are lost about where to start, post a question here or send me a DM message
