February 2026 releases
Hello everyone, drop your February releases down below if you want, I wanna hear them :) https://open.spotify.com/track/4K9WxOYPQPpcbl5Djs6Z1H?si=4730b659f51240f7 This is 'lingering memories' - a bit of a different vibe than usually I'm curious what you think about it. I'm not sure yet what I think about the track myself ^^ Hope everyone's doing well & looking forward to some hangout soon! Also sorry for being a bit inactive I'm in exam season right now, but it's only 6 more days :) Simon

february focus topic
the time has come… to decide on the next monthly focus topic :) you can choose between the top three most common challenges/wishes below. since the last one in october, we got a lot of new guitarwavers. I've summarized all introduction questionnaire answers into clusters, and this is the result. excluding audience building (focus topic #1) and creative process (focus topic #2) which you can find in the classroom section. looking forward to diving back into these with all of you 🦦 ps: for everyone who’s new to this, we’ll collect all the knowledge everyone has to the chosen topic over the course of the month, I’ll try got get a guest on the podcast who’s well versed in the topic, and at the end of the month I’ll summarize all the learning in the focus topic call.

November Releases
Hi everyone :) Anyone else releasing today? I released this one: https://open.spotify.com/track/5zrOV7K8PPnITVKCOhrDH1?si=7bd83c52c65d4124 I think I talked about it in one of our calls before, when we were talking about titles and if they play a role in the creative process. This track is an example of being super title relient - first I had the title '15'til bedtime' and then I started recording melodies that matched the lullaby vibes. So if you need something to calm you down in the evening this song is for you :) Curious to hear some other new songs! Also an idea: Maybe we should group the release threads into 'november 2025 releases' so we have one thread per month. idk thought it might be cool, what do you guys think? Hope everyone had a great week! Simon

@Sebastian Jautschus I found everything, i wished for. Especially the part, where the two of you talk about being anxious before releasing, if i remember correct, it is somewhere in the first quarter. Hearing you and Rebecca talk about this, i somehow found a little more peace, it seems to be a thing, lots of artists have to deal with. Thanks to both of you for sharing this so honestly. Also the part, where Rebecca is talking about consistency was very important for me to watch. Really cool!!!
UAD Showtime plug-in for free
Hi guitarwavers, Universal Audio is currently offering a free download of a Fender amp simulation plug-in called UAD Showtime: https://www.uaudio.com/products/showtime-64-tube-amp I’m testing it for a new song idea, and it sounds pretty good so far (audio sample attached).

@Martin Eibisch Thanks for sharing, Martin. I really like the UAD amplifer simulations. I bought an Apollo twin interface 12 years ago, it always worked perfectly well and the build in micpreamps sound great, i use them a lot for recording acoustic instruments, with a pair of Rode Nt 5.
