New week, new mindset
Hi everyone! Got a bit of a different challenge for you this week. Not something you want to "achieve" in running this week (e.g. mileage, a speed workout, whatnot), but... New week, new mindset

I am not great at saying no I have realized. I signed up for a cross fit competition at the end of September... two weeks before my half. I realized that for the next several months, I need to be very intentional with my sleep, nutrition, training, and energy if I am going to do both of these, and do them well.

My goal is to run 6 miles this weekend (the longest I have run in quite a while!) and celebrate with an iced coffee!

I have a 4th of July 5k this Saturday! And a 3 mile run today and a 5 mile run on Friday.

Just this morning I sent out an email to a few of my athletes asking them to think about their TRAINING goals. Things they want to work on during the training block itself. Not focused on the race, just on the process. What training goals do YOU have? ⬇️

This season, I want to focus on finishing the race(s) strong and enjoy my runs without sacrificing recovery. I am very good at not giving myself a decent recovery period, and I want to work on that.
