Stop stressing about lurkers in your community
i see this question/topic again, and again in Skoolers and all around Skool: "should i remove inactive members?" here is where i landed (see the infographics for more details): - 90% of lurkers is an industry norm, so i no longer worry about it - instead of worrying about lurkers, i focus on active members to know & appreciate them - with lurkers, i try to design processes to contact them (email, dm, off platform), come up with fun "engagement boosting" activities, and plan to run re-targeting ads to get them back on Skool also, remember, that Skool is running ads to bring more ppl on the platform and into your community (how cool is that?!) where are you with lurkers right now? PS we're unpacking engagement tactics inside Community Income Mastermind this month. still $7/month until May 31 — then it goes up.

Stop stressing about lurkers in your community

When our FB community got nuked and we started trying to rebuild, We actually started hearing from some of our lurkers. Women that had been part of Ladies of mycology for years but we never heard a peep from them. But apparently they were silently following along and learning. Some of the stories about how our community changed their lives were so inspiring. It was what gave us the fire we needed to rebuild our community on skool. Because originally no one wanted to do it.

This was fun way to check out other communities and support others
Struggling with the Skool video capability.
Hi all, I'm curious what you're finding. I just did my first community call tonight, and people had trouble coming in, getting their video turned on, working with different browsers, etc. It was pretty clunky. I'm thinking of actually switching and dropping in a Zoom link, but I was hoping to keep everything in one platform. What are you finding?

@Dave Schoof sometimes it does take fiddling with settings. We found quite a few browser setting that people don't even realize are there, that interferred. The biggest issue we keep running into is people not being able to hear because they have their media volume down on their phone and don't realize that it's a different volume than the ribger setting. Takes them a while to find it. I have atrong internet but it's satellite so can be inconsistent. Sometimes everything looks like hell, but if I watch the recording. It's perfect.

@Dave Schoof Not really, it's just that some people aren't super technically inclined and / or have messed with their own settings in way that they have forgotten and didn't understand when they did it. Most apps requiring certain kinds of access can be a headache the first time you use them. I have been getting in a brawl with Zoom for a while now. The website version works fine but not one can her me on the app. I haven't taken time to figure out why, but it's def a setting on my end that I have to figure out. This is no different.

Claude AI assistant
Hey everyone! I am filming a training on Claude tomorrow, specifically how to use it practically for your business, and I would appreciate your input here. What I need is your personal experience with AI, not necessarily with Claude. 1) Do you use ai tools for your work projects? What tools and why? What do you like and don’t like in each specific tool? 2) In your ideal world what specific tasks or jobs would you like ai to do for you? My free community on ai tools for founders and small business owners is coming soon with this training ❤️ Thank you beautiful people 🫶

I use it to help brainstorm ideas or put my ideas into something that makes more sense since I can be all over the place sometimes. Being shown how to use it to help with more practical things for time management would be good.
