What's your why?
Why do you collect plants? Why do you love plants? Is it surface level, or deeper? For me it started for me when I was a teenager, but my love really"blossomed' (see what I did there?)🤣🤣 I think after I had my first divorce and my son and I were having alot of problems. Plants dont talk back, plants don't argue, they are pretty simple creatures, and they know what they want and if you know them, they may just help you when you need them to. But after all I've been through in my life, they are a reminder that I am strong enough to get through all that life throws at me, and they will be there too to help out if I need it. 😉 🥰❤️

I have always loved plants as well, and I have planted on and off for years. The past few years, there has been a lot of loss in my family (mom, then step-mom), and between dealing with that and family life, along with working a lot and going to school. This is my outlet. I started it this summer and grabbed on and haven't looked back. Now my husband is asking me to quit buying plants 🤣😅. But I have to say, we have people who come by our house regularly to see what new things we have done, and I have planted. It's a good feeling.

@Amy Locks That's awesome. And yes, it does feel good for it to be admired. It's good you were there to encourage your neighbor.
Master Gardeners
Hello everyone!Hello, everyone! I have had people ask about the master gardener program so below I have listed the Wisconsin Master Gardener program website. Feel free to look around and check it out. There is a Master Gardener program in every state. So just go to your UW extension office and ask them about their site or about signing up! The Master Gardener program is an all-volunteer organization sanctioned by land grant institutions in each state; the program functions as an extension of the college or university. In Wisconsin, the program is sponsored by University of Wisconsin-Madison Division of Extension. Master Gardeners are trained volunteers who aid Extension staff by helping people in the community better understand horticulture and their environment. https://oneida.extension.wisc.edu/horticulture/master-gardeners/

Thank you I will check these out!
Bees
So I just read this on another platform~ Bees know which flowers to visit based on electricity. If a flower hasn't been recently visited by a bee, it'll give off a static that tugs on the bee's hairs, letting it know food awaits. How amazing is that!?🤯Have you done anything this season to help the bees? I let a few of the weeds in my yard grow like goldenrod and heal all. Clover is getting pretty abundant in my yard too which I'm excited about. :) I also am going to plant more natives to help our pollinators. Every little bit helps!

That is awesome, I did not know that fact about bees. I did plant flowers for them and plan on having more next year along with places for them to rest and recoup. <3

I am a 41-year-old who has recently gotten back into gardening, and now I am delving deeper into it as I transition to a vegetable garden.
