Hi Diane, we started pulling together our own themed and curated new client and referral gift boxes including all locally sourced products. For example, our honey & tea box has local honey in cute jars, beeswax candles or other products from a local bee keeper, a honey drizzler, and a box of tea. We also have an olive oil box which has locally made olive oil, vinegar, a small wooden bowl and a package of bread dipping spices. For some reason, people seem to like local products and we enjoy support local businesses. We opted not to gift branded marketing type products they probably won't use, and instead send them really nice consumable products they hopefully will enjoy with a branded/personalized thank you card. Also, we found that the brown crinkle paper to arrange gifts in the box, wrapped in white tissue paper and a customized logo sticker make the gift box look like something you could spend a lot more for to have a vendor put together. So far, the gifts have been very well received. It just takes a little leg work up front to find the local vendors and products we like and that fit within our budget, then a little experimenting with getting the gift boxes put together in a cute way.
