Food gift baskets for client gifts?
Does anyone have a national company they love for sending edible client gifts? We've been using iGourmet to send charcuterie to some of our top clients the last few years. However, their prices continue to go up and we are looking at other alternatives to stay within the gifting limit. I loved some of the feedback folks shared on @Kayla Berger's post about client experience and some gifts (Thanksgiving pies, college sweatshirts for parents of new students, etc.) and thought I'd try some sourcing beyond my Google searches.

Olive and Cocoa (rep Jennifer Maschmidt jmaschmidt@oliveandcocoa.com) sent a sample gift basket to our firm in a wooden crate with our firm logo burned into the front - it's really impressive and a good range of prices.

Pershing Custodian
Does anyone have experience working with Pershing? What do you like or not like? Do they allow alternative investments on their platform? Thank you in advance for any feedback.

@Joe Moss is this rating system 0-5 with 5 being highest satisfaction? Cynthia, we're long-time Pershing users, but looking to add/switch custodians because we've been so frustrated with service and platform issues. Lead contenders right now are Fidelity (for service) and Schwab (low cost).
Anyone else experiencing ongoing issues with Redtail?
As an hourly financial planner, the functionality of Redtail is paramount to my productivity. However, for over a month, I have been unable to directly email attachments from the platform. Despite multiple attempts to rectify the issue with Redtail, zero progress has been made in resolving this matter. This limitation has become a substantial obstacle in my daily operations, compelling me to resort to cumbersome workarounds. Consequently, valuable time is being wasted, frustration is mounting, and efficiency is compromised. The prolonged duration of this fundamental functionality problem is concerning. It appears that the matter has not received the necessary attention or priority it deserves. I am frustrated beyond words and would like to drop Redtail... but of course, that will only create more issues and cost more time. I am curious if anyone else is experiencing issues with basic functions that are not being addressed by Redtail???

Hi Matt, I'm experiencing a similar frustration with the Redtail integration with eMoney. For some reason, we have spouses that have just disappeared from the contact record in eMoney and I'm told by eMoney that it's an issue with Redtail. In spite of 3 phone calls and multiple requests for updates to the help ticket, the issue is still unresolved. Worse, I'm not even getting a response to my requests for updates. It's been an ongoing issue for almost a month and I'm getting no help from Redtail. The process in place for addressing IT issues is terrible right now - not sure what's going on with Redtail, but I'm fed up too.
PTO/ employee benefits
Hello fellow members! I am hoping to get some insight from each of you on your business and how you utilize PTO and other employee benefits. For an RIA firm with 10-20 employees, what types of PTO and other employee benefits do you offer? What is deemed "normal" and "Acceptable" PTO? Do you offer sick days in addition to PTO, do you offer maternity/paternity leave, do you offer remote work days for those that are required in office everyday? Do you other custodial sick days to care for young children or mental health days? I am trying to build a new and improved employee benefit package for our existing team and to use during our recruiting process. What other "benefits" do you offer employees to boost morale and improve the overall culture?

@Nicole Penner Wow, reading through these comments makes me wonder if my current benefits need improving! We're a 5 person firm, with two partners, two advisors, and one ops person (me). I can only speak for my personal benefits, which include 10 vacation days and an additional 5 days after 5 years, two floating holidays and 3 sick days. Maternity/Paternity leave is flexible and based on needs of the family. Standard health benefits. 3% match for 401k (would be curious to know what other firms provide in that area). I earned my SIE and that online training course was reimbursed. Our main benefit is full-time remote work, which allows for a lot of flexibility in my day.
