@Gemma Sheppard I need a better one for my kitty too.It’s tough to have to hunt. How can you tell? I’m leaving the current one because they ALWAYS try to get me to agree to unnecessary procedures and almost killed a friend’s dog by giving her too much anesthesia during a teeth cleaning. I have zero confidence in them now.

Pet First Aid
April is national Pet First Aid Awareness Month in the UK so I have arranged an expert talk. Aubrey from Bluebell Pet Care and First Aid will be co-hosting a live session with me. This session titled 'First Aid Mistakes Pet Owners Make (and how to avoid them)' will be on Friday 3rd April at 7.30pm UK time. I will add it to our calendar here too and you are more than welcome to join. If you have any questions, feel free to comment them here so I can add to the list for Aubrey to answer. Fail to prepare, prepare to fail as they say. It's not worth risking not knowing what to do in an emergency with our beloved pets 🐾❤️

@Gemma Sheppard Thank you, Gemma. I’m happy to meet you as well. I tell myself he knew I adored him, even though he was almost feral - wouldn’t let me pick him up and was very picky about being touched. Despite all this we had an arrangement. I loved him dearly.

@Kelly Callen Yes it is. I keep wondering if I could have done something better and wishing to return to our little daily routines. But I took a class with a pet death doula and she reminded me that passing for pets is an expansion into spirit not something to be feared or grieved. I believe she is right and when I can get past my kitty’s physical loss I feel him around. I am hoping to include some of her work in my next course (I call them “Discoveries” not classes). I find that writing and feeling my way through loss really helps me heal. P.S. Nice to meet you!
