Our adventure on a “sniff”. A sniff is our version of a 10 minute walk in a different part of the yard or different direction of the street for different scents.
✅ REQUIRED ASSIGNMENT: 30–60 Second Training Video (NO CUTS)
Submit a 30–60 second continuous video of you actively training one command with your dog. DUE DATE December 28th. This video must be one uncut clip. No edits, no trims, no cuts, no jump cuts. Real training only. 🎥 Video Requirements (Read Carefully) Your submission must: - Be 30 seconds to 1 minute - Be one continuous, unedited clip - Clearly show you and your dog in frame - Capture real reps of the command (successes and mistakes) 🐾 Choose ONE Command - Place - Down - Sit - Come - Stay - Heel - Leave It - Break(Or another command you are currently working on) You may submit: - A command you’re struggling with, or - A command your dog is doing well with Both are required for growth. 📝 In Your Post, Include: 1. Command trained 2. Struggle or strength 3. One thing that improved 4. One thing you’re focusing on next 🎯 Why NO CUTS Matters - Shows true timing and handling - Reveals clarity, consistency, and pressure - Builds accountability and honest feedback - Documents real progress, not highlights If you wouldn’t train it live, don’t post it. Set the phone down. Hit record. Train straight through.

Christmas Day work. We both are a little rusty but we are getting it done!
🎯 PROOFING COURSE: COMPLETE
The Proofing Course is now officially complete and live inside the community. This course was built to solve one of the biggest gaps in dog training: ➡️ Why behaviors fall apart outside of controlled sessions. Inside this course, you’ll learn how to: - Take commands from “works at home” → works everywhere - Systematically increase distance, duration, and distraction - Identify why a behavior is failing (handler error vs. dog clarity) - Track progress objectively instead of guessing - Build real-world reliability without rushing or flooding Proofing is where structure turns into freedom. It's the difference between a dog who knows a command and a dog who can live it. 📌 What to do next 1. Watch the lessons in order 2. Use the proofing worksheets and logs 3. Apply one variable at a time 4. Document results — don’t rely on memory If you’ve ever said “my dog knows this, but…” — this course is the answer. Drop a comment once you’ve started and share: ➡️ The first behavior you’re proofing ➡️ The environment you’re starting in Let’s turn consistency into confidence. I prefer this response

Thank you for including the dog body language document in the obedience course. It was very helpful in identifying behaviors of the others and how I deal with that behavior. I have identified that I need to have myself in check while going through the prodding process!!

Hello!!! My sweet girl Goose and I trained with Tristan in early spring! Goose absolutely loves “going to work”. We are starting back into working everyday! Glad to be part of this community and hoping to get Goose into some competitions!
