What are you secretly tired of proving right now? That I delegate. I don't understand why everyone on my team keeps climbing up my a$$ saying that I need to delegate, don't delegate, or am bad at delegating. I have one person I can truly delegate to, and I am pretty good at delegating to her. At one point when I wasn't she and I had a talk about it and I realized she was ready for more, so I dished more to her until she said 'plate is full, stop'. She's behind on a couple of projects that I did delegate to her, but I am getting crap from my colleagues on the Senior Leadership Team for 'not delegating more' but come on... there is only so much I can delegate. I probably wouldn't be so overwhelmed or need to delegate so much if my leader would choose a direction and stick to it instead of constantly changing course and making my work worthless because the direction has changed. But hey... I'm not bitter or anything. 😄
