Resentment session
Another great presentation by Ed this afternoon. Thank you so much. I do have some things to clear before helping others.
Resolve Resentment
Is anyone else looking forward to Monday's class? Whoop Whoop! Monday is Labor day here in the USA but I will definitely be on the call....
Level 2 'Pillars'
I am in Level 2 and I am blown away at the detail of the 4 Pillars. Ed is sharing some incredible stuff with his students. Thank you so much for allowing me to share this journey with all of you.
Your clients don't need your baggage
One of the hardest things about being a coach… Is recognising when something in a coaching session is actually about you… And most of the time, you won’t even realise it’s happening. It happens when a client shares something that feels familiar… Something their partner did. Something a parent said. A situation you’ve experienced yourself. And suddenly you feel more emotionally invested in the outcome. You REALLY want them to leave. You REALLY want them to stand up for themselves. You REALLY want them to forgive. You REALLY want them to see what you can see. And that’s where we need to be careful. Because there’s a difference between using your experience to make you a more empathetic coach… And allowing your experience to influence where you take the client. Which brings me to something I think every coach needs to hear: Your client doesn’t need your baggage in their coaching session. They’ve already got enough of their own :-) But unless you’ve become aware of your own triggers, beliefs and unresolved patterns… It’s incredibly easy to bring them into the room. A client tells you their husband cheated. You immediately think he’s the problem. A client tells you her partner never listens. It reminds you of your own relationship. A client talks about their parents… And suddenly you’re viewing their experience through the lens of yours. We call it helping. But sometimes… We’re projecting. And one of the skills that separates a good coach from an exceptional one is the ability to notice when YOUR story is trying to enter THEIR session. That requires more than coaching knowledge. It requires self-awareness. It requires honesty. And sometimes it requires us to heal things we’d much rather pretend we’re already “over.” That’s why I want you to join me for: Heal The Past: How To Stop Resentment Monday 7th September 6pm UK | 1pm EST Don’t just come looking for another tool you can use with your clients. Come looking for the patterns you might not have noticed in yourself yet.

@Peace Caleb-Onwah It is good to see that so many share our same opinion on this.
I am amazed...
I have had many life experiences and have had a great education and worklife. I am amazed at how much I am learning about myself throughout this process. I am finding things that I know but have never realized I knew, or how to implement those things into my life to level up. I am so excited to learn and implement these skills for myself and my clients.
