"Send selected code to Jupyter" in VS Code is a superpower
Just watched the lesson how to set up VS Code. That part about selecting code and sending to a Jupyter notebook (currently called "Execute selection") - super useful. Up until now, when working in code (at work I use PyCharm) I was trying a "notebook way" using debug mode: setting a few breakpoints, running code in debug mode and inspecting how variables and data change. I can already see how this trick with executing selected code is a huge productivity hack, many thanks to Dave!

This discovery alone is truly a game-changer. 🚀 I think it is more of a 10X multiplier; identifying bugs (or missing dependencies) in the moment is not just 2X more efficient, it is at lest 10X more efficient to overall workflow and developer productivity. It's almost as good as Cursor/CoPilot sitting on our shoulder and fixing our bugs before we notice them. I'll bet that day will come, but until then this is the next best thing (probably better, because our brain doesn't have to switch to "intern LLM" mode to filter out the hallucinations.
