Clients with mental health issues
I have a moral dilemma here. I offered coaching services for organisation and productivity and I made a Google form. One of the questions is do you suffer from any mental health problems and everyone said yes. I'm not ok with working with people with anxiety and what not. Also I specified it's life organisation and productivity. How to nicely say- we can't work together because I'm not a mental health practitioner. Did you have this type of thing in your practice? I'm a bit confused. It's like they see word coach and immediately think therapy. Like you see doctor and expect brain surgeon. It's crazy 🤣

@Hannah Self Worth Coach I might consider accepting their request for coaching but with that communication also set out clear expectations. Something like: "I will do my best to support you in your journey facing (whatever the problem is), however since I am not a mental health practitioner, there may be occassions where I feel the need to signpost you to other professionals who might better be able to support your growth."
I'm wondering:
What is one thing you wish someone had told you sooner?

@Dainora Griffin I've only had the chance to try skying once and had a great time. The instructor pointed out to me that regardless of what I'm trying to do with my feet or forcing certain angles that it is essentially all down to which place I am looking at. If you look to the place you're trying to get to, or in that direction, then your body automatically steers you. Focus is everything 😊

Thanks @Nikki Meyer Just coming back to this after a crazy couple of months and headed straight into identifying fears - it was easy to do because it wasn't just being busy that was holding me back!!

@Fiona Brown Ah! That's so good - I'm stoked for you :) I'm chasing behind!
Inspirational quote you use often.
As part of my coaching I like to share inspirational or motivational quotes. What are some of your favorites???

@Priscilla Mugo It might not sound like a positive quote immediately but for me it sets me free from having to carry my irritation with a person and the impact they have - they carry it for themselves and that's more than enough for me to find peace and move on

@Maryna Rosen Really helpful to know your own feelings and how they impact your beliefs about other people!
Cherished memories that inspire gratitude
Are there particular memories that always fill you with joy and gratitude? Reflecting on these joyful moments is a great way to nurture a sense of gratitude and positivity in our lives. I'd love to hear your stories – let's inspire each other and perhaps find new entries for our gratitude journals!😀

Spending time with my almost 2 year old nephew has been amazing for me. The wonder that he sees in the world reminds me of things I used to love and have somehow forgotten. My mum shared some photos where she thought I looked similar to my nephew - I'd never seen them before and felt such a strong sense of connection. Thanks for asking @Roland Tamini

That introverted guy at the party who can't wait to talk about what is really going on. I have a focus on life coaching with Christian values
