Content Consistency
Anyone have good tips or habits they’ve learned to stay consistent with social media content? Right now I’m posting about once per week but need to get in the habit of posting at least 3-4 times per week if not more.

Q for Self taught audio engineers
Hi everyone! New member, here👋🏾 Just a little backstory. I've recorded several songs over the years however, to me, they've never sounded quite the way the should (standard, radio/stream ready). Which, as ive come to notice, has kept me in a "post & delete" cycle. This comes down to the mixing. I've watched a ton of YouTube how-to's on the topic, yet the information just hasn't...connected. it's my goal to be able to successfully mix my own music (affordability reasons) I have also looked into having someone mix for me, but they usually only accept 1 - 5 stems. That simply won't do for the way I record. Also, I use an outdated macbook garageband daw that refuses to update. SO, the question is, what are some of the most helpful tips you've gathered during your self-taught journey to mixing your own music?

In my experience, after you’ve been on YouTube and used other resources like that it’s just practice. Like anything else, the only way to get better at mixing is mixing. Mix as many songs as possible, both yours and other peoples. Also get a reliable pair of studio monitors or mixing headphones. That will help your mixes translate. What I’ve found is after you have a base of how you like to mix and your songs are at least sounding decent it’s the little things that take your mix over the top EX: leveling, gain staging, giving every sound/vocal it’s own space, gluing your mix together with compression, saturation, etc. Lastly, nothing wrong with getting a few songs mixed by someone else for the experience. Just by sitting in the studio session watching someone mix your song, you will pick up things you can apply yourself.
How long does it take you to become a fan?
Are yall fans on the first listen or a few songs/albums? Or is it case by case?

I’m big on projects/albums. If I like one of your songs or a song your are featured on, I will go check out your best or latest project. That will determine if I become a fan or not.
Taking a LONG break from weed!!!
I've been a heavy smoker for years and always told myself that I could still be productive while smoking and that it didn't hinder me in any way. But now I realize it is definitely preventing me from being as productive as I need to be. I also realized that it doesn't actually make me more creative. For the longest time I thought that it did but there are just as many times where I smoke and I'm not creative as there are when I am creative. I'm challenging myself to do ALL that I can do to accomplish my goals dreams. Can anyone else relate? What's your experience been like?

I understand this completely. Weed affects everyone differently but I personally am a lot more productive when I’m not smoking. If I do smoke, it’s very little so I get the affect but not the sluggishness.
