Art + Entrepreneurship
You'll win in this industry if you study both Art & Entrepreneurship. Sit on youtube for hours every day, and just listen very closely to the Entrepreneurs who've carved out a lane of their own in business, and swept the market clean. Innovative Thinking, Tenacity, Self Awareness, Awareness In General, Belief, Deep Research, And Talent are the keys to succeeding at this game. Which of these do you lack, and want to acquire?

I've realized that this is one of the main areas being overlooked by many artists in general.

@Christian Nziku You hit it on the nose. A lot of experimentation is key. You end up stumbling into discovery, eventually putting you in a position to clearly see where you need to swing in order to strike gold.
Collabration/ industry room
throughout history with artists that have made it I always notice that they were part of a collective or all worked with similar artists and producers, for example Mac miller makes different music but early on you can see Mac miller, Tyler the creator, kendrick, drake ect before they blew up all working with each other. I was wondering how did they all find each other and how an artist can get in those rooms also.

@Christian Nziku I meant to get back to your comment from yesterday, and realized I overlooked it. Do me a favor and shoot me a DM

@Christian Nziku No. I'd say always be on the lookout for like-minded collaborators. Forming a deep bond with someone early on before fame may be most beneficial tbh.
You Don't Need A Manager...
When you're a rookie and even in the middle stages of your career as an Artist, you might buy into believing that you need someone to "manage" your career. Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that a manager can't be beneficial; but what I am saying, is that YOU have the ability to do every single thing that a manager would for you, and even more. This is YOUR business. YOU own this ship. Meaning that you're the one who needs to know exactly where you want to sail, and how you want to end up getting there. When you give people title's like "My manager", you're giving someone power that they should not possess over you and your business. By definition, the word "Manage", means "To be in charge of"... So why would you want someone to be in charge of You and your business? If you truly want to win at this game, begin to look in the mirror every day, and readjust your perspective until you start to see yourself for who you truly are. You're the boss. You call the shots. You have the vision that no one else has. If you let someone else take charge of your company, they will steer your entire business toward their personal agenda, because you gave them control over your ship my friend... Start viewing yourself as the CEO who has a clear vision, and start hiring the right assistants that have the talent, tenacity, humility, integrity, and knowledge that you need in order to get to your destination.

@Erik Chambliss Absolutely. I genuinely worry about anyone who doesn't. This road is tricky and quite treacherous.
