What does everyone like to listen to while practicing?

What’s up Skate Fam! Welcome to the community. Thrilled to have you here. Take a sec to introduce yourself, doesn’t have to be fancy or complicated. Just be yourself. …ill go first. 👋🏽My name is Knejie Allen. I’ve been skating for 10 years. Currently rolling in custom Riedell 3200s w and arius plate and probably some slick wheels (95A+). Im in Kansas City and own a Skate school, SK8SHOT Studios.

Next week will be one year since I was determined to learn how to skate. Overall I’m super proud of myself. I have social anxiety so just me getting out and going to the rink alone to learn was a breakthrough. I didn’t learn as much as I initially wanted to but realize now that learning isn’t linear and to just keep celebrating my wins 🎉 I want to be more intentional this upcoming year. Really practicing more, work on pivots and turns and musicality.

For anyone dealing with winter & snow, where are your practice spots? What type of skills, drills & skating are you focusing on? I have a small 6x8 area on my third floor that’s hardwood 6x8 area in my garage with linoleum over plywood (cold AF though) Local rinks I miss my outdoors practice & can’t wait for warmer weather.

My personal new year starts the day I was born but this 2026 I want to start skating everyday. Not sure if I do 30, 60, 90 or 365. Anyone else starting any skate resolutions or skate goals in 2026?
