Hi Sk8shot Fam! My name is Terrence, and I go by 2 nicknames! Silk is a nickname that got started in my teens (I'm 49), and Pooh Pooh was given to me by my grandmother (she's 93 now) when I was a baby! So, between my government and the 2 nicknames you are welcome to use either you prefer! I actually wrote an introductory post some weeks ago, but it didn't seem to immediately post, so I don't know if it ever did post! I just serve 18 years incarceration from March, 2007 to March 6, 2025, so I haven't been on skates since around 2007, and before then it was several years! What I remember about skating in 2007 after several years of not skating was how easy everything was for me! Like the saying about never forgetting how to ride a bike, skating then still felt easy! At least my ability to roll around the rink! Now I'm ready to learn dance skating or jam skating! I'm not sure what's the proper term! I'll just say skating with the cool moves such as the crazy legs, JB skating, etc. I hope that since I can do basic skating more experienced moves will come relatively easy! With practice of course! I watch a lot of this skater named JRoc! His first name is Jedadiah (I hope I spelled that right)! He seemsto be able to make the skates do whatever he wants them to do! He's on Facebook and YouTube! Check him out! Jedadiah JRoc (forgot his last name)! My question for you all is what is the best skates and parts (wheels, etc.) for a person to practice these dance style moves! In the past I just used rentals, but recently I was reading about certain skates and wheels and other parts for various moves! I want to learn several moves, so is there a go to skate that I can pretty much try any move on? Does anybody have that one pair of skates with parts that you perform a variety of moves on ? Hey guys! I know this is long, so I really appreciate those who read it all! I look forward to your advice! I'm from a little town called Houston, Mississippi by the way, but live in Tupelo, Mississippi now! Blessings to you all!
