Wacky Wednesday – Permission to Pause 🌿😆
Today’s challenge: Cancel one unnecessary “should.” You know the one. “I should answer that right now. ”“I should clean that today. ”“I should have it all figured out by now.” Maybe not. Maybe today your job is just to breathe and do the next right thing. 🧠 Science Bit: Your brain treats constant “shoulds” like low-level stress signals, increasing cortisol and mental fatigue. Giving yourself permission to pause actually improves focus and emotional health. Quote of the Day: "Rest and self-care are so important. When you take time to replenish your spirit, it allows you to serve others from the overflow." — Eleanor Brownn ✨ Today’s Question: What’s one “should” you can let go of today? Sometimes the most productive thing you can do… is stop. 🛑 and breath and then decide.

Should I or shouldn’t I? That is the question. I think I shouldn’t 🤷🏼
Silly Saturday Challenge 🎈
“We don’t stop playing because we grow old; we grow old because we stop playing.” — George Bernard Shaw 🌈Happy Saturday 🌈 Today’s science-backed reminder: Play isn’t just for kids. Studies show that laughter, playfulness, and novelty help release dopamine (your motivation and feel-good chemical), reduce stress, and improve creativity and problem-solving. Your brain literally works better when you let yourself be a little silly. So here’s today’s challenge: The “Be 8 Years Old Again” Challenge Do ONE thing today your younger self would have loved: 🍦 Get ice cream for no reason 🚲 Ride a bike 🎵 Blast a favorite old song and dance badly 🌳 Swing at the park 🎨 Draw something ridiculous 🌮 Eat dessert first 💦 Run through sprinklers (bonus points 😆) No productivity required. No guilt allowed. Just joy. Tell us below: What’s your “8-year-old self” activity today? 👇

I think maybe going out to a restaurant for just dessert & drink is something we all should do more often. Why not?
Soulful Sunday 🌿✨
“Hope is being able to see that there is light despite all of the darkness.” — Desmond Tutu 🌈Happy Sunday, 4 Cubed family 🌈!! Sometimes the most powerful thing we can do is simply pause… breathe… and remember that brighter days are still ahead. 🧠 A little science for your soul: Studies show that practicing gratitude and hopeful thinking can actually help lower cortisol (your stress hormone) and increase serotonin and dopamine—the brain chemicals connected to happiness, calm, and motivation. Hope isn’t just a feeling… it’s chemistry, too. 🌞 Soulful Sunday Challenge: Today, take 5 or 11 quiet minutes and ask yourself: “What is one good thing I still believe is possible for me?” Write it down.Say it out loud.Let your brain start looking for evidence that it can happen. (Your Reticular Activating System loves a clear assignment 😉) 💬 If you are comfortable.....Share below: What’s one thing you’re still hopeful for? Sometimes saying it out loud is the first step toward making it real 💫

Lots of ideas and plans continually circle inside the noggin. I think about them when I’m out walking. I guess I should be out walking more and dreaming BIGGER.
Trivia Tuesday 🧠✨
Did you know? Thomas Edison was told by teachers that he was “too difficult” to teach and would never succeed in school… yet he went on to hold over 1,000 patents and changed the world. Sometimes the “underdog” is just the person no one understood yet. Quote for the Day: "Our greatest weakness lies in giving up. The most certain way to succeed is always to try just one more time." — Thomas Edison 🧠 Science Bit: Your brain creates stronger neural pathways every time you keep trying after failure. Persistence literally helps your brain become better at solving problems and handling challenges. ✨ Today’s Question:What’s one small thing in your life right now that you refuse to give up on? Sometimes the comeback starts with simply deciding… not today. 🌈

1 day at a time for all the little things in my life. Checklists work best for me. Put it on a ‘to do list’ and I feel good about checking them off after finishing the task. Procrastination is my downfall, ‘I'll do it tomorrow’ is my weakness. LISTS are my key to getting things accomplished.
✨ Motivating Monday ✨
A brand-new week. A brand-new chance. A brand-new story to begin writing. “Just one small positive thought in the morning can change your whole day.” — Dalai Lama 🧠 Science-backed Monday tip:Start your morning by naming one thing you’re looking forward to this week. Research in positive psychology shows that anticipation itself can boost dopamine — the brain’s motivation and reward chemical. In other words, simply giving your mind something hopeful to focus on can increase energy, optimism, and momentum for the day ahead. ✨ Today’s Monday challenge: What is one thing — big or small — that you’re hopeful about this week?

Happy Monday! Spring is upon us all and I am looking forward to getting back home and beginning my spring ritual of getting the yard and gardens going.
