But peace usually doesn't arrive because we finally got everything done. Peace shows up in the pauses. The quiet moments. The deep breath between activities. The realization that this moment is enough, exactly as it is. Science shows that even brief periods of stillness can help lower stress hormones and shift the nervous system from "fight or flight" into a more relaxed state. Saturday Thought: Instead of asking yourself, "What do I still need to do today?" Try asking: "What would make today feel peaceful?" Maybe the answer surprises you.
