🌞Throwback Thursday🌞
“Talk to yourself like you would to someone you love.” — Brené Brown Research shows self-compassion lowers stress hormones and improves motivation more than self-criticism. Being kinder to yourself actually helps your brain move into learning and problem-solving mode. Question for today…. What’s one thing from the past you can forgive yourself for today?

There’s 2 things that pop into my head, from time to time, from my past that I’m ashamed of to this day. Nothing crazy… just comments that I had made to a couple of people out of stupidity. I was younger but they were hurtful comments. I wish I could see those two again and tell them I’m sorry and take it back. Such is life. Not sure I can forgive myself for my bad behavior.
🌞Motivating Monday🌞
“Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t — you’re right.” — Henry Ford Science backs this up.Research shows that when we believe we can succeed, the brain releases more dopamine, increasing motivation, persistence, and resilience. Your brain organizes around your beliefs. So today… what are you telling yourself?

The past 3 weeks have shown me I can absolutely do a lot more, mentally and physically. Although I’ve gotten a bit more lackadaisical in my life recently, it was nice to have this issue I’m currently dealing with to remind me that there is currently a mission and I can accomplish it.

Sitting, at this moment, with my mother and brother. Enjoying the time.
🌈 Throwback Thursday 💛
Think about you at 8 years old. Before the pressure. Before the timelines. Before the “shoulds.” What did that 8 year old version of you love doing just because it was fun? Science shows that reconnecting with childhood joy boosts dopamine and reduces stress — it reminds your brain what play feels like. ✨ Question:What did little you LOVE that maybe adult you has forgotten? (Bonus: Can you do 5 minutes of it today?)

When I was around that age, I loved to play in the woods behind my grandmothers house. My imagination would run wild and I would envision creating an amusement ride that had a story being told with it…similar to something you would ride in fantasy land at Disney. I would use sticks and trees and leaves and create a magnificent journey of a ride. I could see all of it in my mind. As a grew older, I could still look out my grandmothers kitchen window and see that ride I had created. Over the years, many of the branches I had used were still in the same place I had put them many years before. Now, at 54, thinking about this…I can still remember those moments & see that ride like it was yesterday. 😄

“You’re off to Great Places! Today is your day! Your mountain is waiting, so… get on your way!” -📚 Dr. Seuss (Rejected 27 times before his first book was published.) A gentle Monday reminder that you are doing an amazing job!! Take a minute today and appreciate YOU!! What's one thing you are getting "on your way" with today?
