Dive Dive into Storytelling, Cognition, and how fast/slow stories impact cognition
This is just the proverbial tip of the iceburg, but since I spent the 'lion's share' of my 15 hour freelancing day researching and collecting references for this topic, I couldn't bring myself not to put them all into a document and share it. I gave it a cursory glance of one of the articles: In one study, Hasson’s team compared the brain activity of a storyteller with a listener using fMRI. The listener’s brain activity mirrored that of the storyteller’s with just few second’s delay. The synchronized activity appeared not only in basic language processing areas but also in high-level networks involved in understanding meaning. The level of synchronized activity in one such network — the default mode network — predicted the success of the communication. “The stronger the coupling, the better the understanding,” said Hasson. fascinating read!

I'm a Christian. I believe in sacrifice for sins and thus forgiveness. I'm also a panpsychist, I believe in universal consciousness. I'm also a human with biases because: DNA has to save on processing power~just like everyone else.
